Do you have to remove to replace the battery?

No, the Vortex Optics OPMOD Defender-ST houses the included CR2032 battery on top of the optic behind the glass. It can be removed and replaced without having to uninstall the optic.

No, the Vortex Optics OPMOD Defender-ST uses the Deltapoint Pro footprint. The Vortex Defender CCW (linked below) uses the RMSc footprint.

Will this fit a FN 510 mrd

Yes, to mount this optic to your 510 MRD, you will need to use the #1 MRD plate (Deltapoint Pro), paired with the #505 MRD insert. If you do not have the adapter plates required, they can be purchased from FN directly.

It comes with a low profile 1913 mount, so yes, if you have a 45 degree offset 1913 or Delta Point Pro mount. It would be a great companion to an LVPO.
