They should still work but is not a guarantee.
I’ve tried in so many bullet lowers from AR9, AR10mm, 5.56, 7.62x39, 300 blackout, etcetera and even the bigger boy .308 sized platform and use the .308 version that if you have a basically angle gribfsr or even dremel that has the super cheap to buy at like fifty to a hundred little sand paper rolls that if you need to sort of remove more material can use 320 I think it is(300’s anyways)and surprisingly works very well to remove the needed material a little at a time as you keep tearing fitting and ALL .308 REQUIRED two big modifications but mainly leave the ENTIRE top part of the bolt catch and just remove the material that binds up in the lower not allowing it to move. BUT BE VERY PRECISE with the angle/area that rides against the bolt catch plunger since if you remove to much material it’ll still function great, just MAY hit the bottom side edge of the trigger pocket on the outside but for me that is well worth having almost a fully ambi setup. Also for those that say this got their lower… what super EXTRA FAT plates are you buying?! This things is DESIGNED… DESIGNED VERY RIGHT so it SIT OUT from the lower so if you have a threaded bolt catch or bulky area on that side THIS 99.9% of the time will STILL work GREAT! AND even if you have the uppers that have the stupid TINY pocket milled in for the bolt catches top paddle THIS ambi lever WILL 99.9% work anyways since again they designed it to STICK OUT AWAY from the lower so there is PLENTY of clearance on ALL billet lowers I have them on at the moment and just ordered three more BUT ONE HUUUUUUGE FLAW!!!!!! It’s not far enough forward for MY likings since I like CMC’s flat faced triggers that CANNOT be used with this ambi lever. You can make it work, but you’d always have finger fitment issues and still could run the gun but I guarantee you’d get to of one or the other why I is what I did and kept this ambi lever and swapped to CMC’s traditional curved faced trigger that sits back in the trigger guard enough to manilupste both without either interfering. BUT AS FAR AS THEM FITTING ANNNYYYYYY lower, I’d BET ITLL FIT! Again .308 size probably will need some mods but simple birch wood roach up pen for a few bucks is what used to seal off the modified bare metal spots and now that this .308 version bolt catch finally fit and was installed the two places I had to modify where hidden by the slot the bolt catch sits in at rest so couldn’t tell even with upper off that a single modification had been made and works great. WORTH at least the $5-$10 junk dremel kit from harbor freight and simply buy a bag of typical toilet paper roll shaped sanding wheels one would think wouldn’t work to precisely grind METAL BUT IT DOES A GREAT JOB even with grittier 320 as I finish or even start and finish with much softer 80 grit that both roughness levels leave pretty smooth metal left they requires zero filing or anything. Trust me buy them ONLY when on sale! $56 is about $20 too much.
I have a billet lower from Sharps Bros, and I emailed both Sharps Bros and Phase 5 asking if this extended bolt catch will work with my billet lower. Both companies said it will work! I just ordered it so I'll update this with a definitive answer once installed, but for what it's worth, both companies said it will work fine with the Sharps Bros Billet lower, "The Jack"!
