You will want a .22-.26 rod.

If I have both a .270 Win and a 6.5 creedmoor to clean, do I need the .22 cal rod since the .27 cal would be too big to fit the 6.5 creedmoor

To do both with one rod go with the .22. The .27cal rod has a diameter of .25 so it would be too close. I would also suggest looking that the max force .22cal rod. Will do a wider rand and prevents putting force on the rod with the sliding handle.

Those are actually the exact same item, however sometimes we have to order an item through a distributor instead of the manufacturer, and they will have their own part number that forces us to list it separately. I apologize for the confusion.
