Hi Brother, I am a longtime user of the Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldogs, especially the Classic 3'' bbl. I never use any .44 spl that exceeds 1000fps at the muzzle and I like to keep the muzzle energy in the 400ft-lbs area. That has long been my rule. You will see especially on Buffalo Bore warnings except for the rounds they make inclusively for the bulldog. CCI aluminum Speer JHP, Silvertips and a few others like the regular Speer Gold Dot still get you better than the cowboy shooting rounds and have saved my life, literally. I usually go with 200 grain JHPs. Good luck! Mike ''CUJO" P.

Is this safe to shoot in a ROSSI M720 44 special 5 shot revolver?

Yes, any 44 spl. Cartridge is safe in any 44 spl. Weapon. When a cartridge has a +P connotation expressed. Then that load should be used with minimum use, as because of the higher operating pressure of the +P load, will wear the action of the firearm more quickly. Thank You.
