Yes, the Volquartsen Firearms Ruger Mark II-IV Competition Bolt will be compatible with the Ruger MK4 Tactical model pistol.

Will this bolt fit the Ruger Mark 4?

Yes. The Volquartsen Firearms Competition Bolt will work for a Ruger MK IV. It is also compatible with the MK II and MK III. However, the MK III will require you to remove the loaded chamber indicator from the pistol. It is compatible with both 22/45 and Target Models.

Is this bolt completely coated black DLC or is it just black at the bolt knob? I have seen some that changed color half way up. Black then silver.

The entire actual bolt is DLC treated.
