M855 has a steel insert in the bullet for increased penetration. It is considered "light armor" piercing.

These are "boat tail" bullets on these rounds. The boat tail design provides more stable flight thus increased accuracy.

As long as it’s chambered in 556 nato. Do not put it in a 223 Remington chambered gun. 223 Wylde chamber is also OK
