No. 556 NATO has higher chamber pressure
223 WYLDE is certified to shoot 556 ammo.. standard 223 Remington barrels are not rested to handle the higher pressure of a 556 NATO round. 223 Wylde is 100% compatible with 556 ammo and many play with custom 556 loads for the "extra chamber pressure" which (they believe) makes a flatter flying round.
Negative. A weapon chambered in 5.56 can also shoot .223. However, a weapon chambered in .223 can not shoot 5.56
yes you can it's perfectly save the gun won't explode.
for liability reasons it's not recommended.
NEVER shoot a 5.56 round in a .223 chambered gun. However, you can go the other way. If you have a 5.56 chambered gun, you can shoot 5.56 AND/OR .223 ammo.
No, 5.56 can only be used with a 5.56 barrel. Only .223 ammo can be used in both .223 and 5.56 barrels.
They will fit in a 223 caliber rifle but it is highly recommended that you don't use 556 NATO ammo!
You can safely fire .223 in a 5.56 chamber, it is unsafe to fire 5.56 in a .223 chamber. SHORT ANSWER NO. Will it work, maybe, but you shouldn't unless you have a .223 wylde chamber.
If your rifle is chambered for .223 this will not work.
No it will not if the gun doesn’t say 556
