1/2X28 is for the .223/5.56 guns. The exit hole measures approximately .255 inches

This is a liner compensator , it has a large expansion chamber which will reduce flash while also projecting sound and blast forward.

does it come with a washer?

The XTS AR-15 1/2X28 BLK Knurled Brake does not include shims or a washer as this does not be to be timed. Simply screw onto the end of your barrel and you're all set.
