Nice shield
It's mounted on my Maverick 88 7+1 with ease. No problems at all.

Turn Down the Heat
This ATI heatshield fits perfectly on Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88 shotguns.If durability is an issue, then steel is superior and actually adds very little weight. They say you need to bend the tabs but I installed without having to. It fits very well as is.

Great fit for an old 500
I got this cause I seen the display photo of the same gun, upon which I wanted to put it on. It came in quickly, and installed without much issue. However if you're not careful it can scratch your gun finish. One thing to make sure of to keep this from sliding forward each shot, is to make sure that the heatshield mounts against the rear of your magazine tube barrel lug.

Very good heat shield
I installed this on my Maverick 88 Security (20 inch). I originally had a polymer heatshield and I hated it, I went with this heatshield because the factory Mossbergs are unavailable. Installation was pretty easy, although not an out-of-the-box direct fit; it's a universal fit, so that should be expected. Some bending and manipulating of the shield was required to get an adequate fit on my barrel. I am much more satisfied with the fit and finish of this heat shield than the Slade Street Tactical heat shield, and I believe more durable as well.

looking for Retro
I was looking for a heat sheild to give my mod. 97 win. a WWII look this is ok after a little work on the finish (refinished) but the extra holes for Tactical sights ? kinda ruin the effect. It is of good quality but made for Want to be tactical work...
