Great quality for the price. This is my 3rd Aero build.
Pros:
  • Great cerakote job, decent hand guard, holds up better than other uppers in same price point
Cons:
  • should come with BCG option and muzzle device chouce
Best Used for:
  • what is is designed for

Aero customer support says 75+ grain ammo

I have this upper but haven’t fired it yet. I wrote a message to Aero Precision customer support because I had seen several reviews mentioning the rifle not cycling properly and I wanted to know if it’s a common issue. Their response (ticket number OMR-79910) was that the cycling issues are from people running ammo with too light of a bullet weight. They said they recommend at least 75 grain bullets for the rifle to cycle properly! I didn’t buy a 1:8 twist upper to only be able to run match ammo. I wish I had bought something different if it will inexplicably only work with high dollar ammunition.

  • Have to run match grade ammo

  • Blowing your money on 77 grain ammo

Nothing but trouble

There was loose steel in the barrel from manufacturing which lead to a casing being stuck in the barrel.

The bolt will not hold open on last round.

Customer support will not answer when you have problems.
Best Used for:
  • Weighing down in one's trashcan on a windy day

Aero precision upper

Great value for this product. Has all the upper end components for the best price on the market. Stainless barrel in 223wylde, so far very accurate. Matched with hyper tap muzzle brake it is the softest shooting at I have ever experienced. Good for and finish and lightweight hand guard is the perfect size for medium size hands to c grip.

If you don't alredy know of the quality of this manufacturer, it means that you are new to the gun world, but I will help you, YES this is the best quality for the price, noting that I'm aware gives you this much quality for this money! Totally recomand Aero precision as a manufacturer!!

Aero Precision M4E1 .223 Wylde w/ ATLAS S-ONE Handguard Complete Upper Receiver

The service and customer support from Optics Planet is the best the you will find in the industry. I added a VG6 Epslion muzzle brake in blasted stainless steal to the order. The muzzle brake matches the finish of the stainless steel barrel and looks amazing. I already have the same set up with a 18" barrel and it shoots sub MOA with good ammo. I expect this 16" barrel set up will shoot the same.
