Good budget upper
Aero Precision has made a name for producing a quality product for a reasonable price. I have several of their uppers and lowers. The fit is pretty good, even well above average but do not expect an LMT or Knights Armament rife or parts in this price range but you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you haven’t bought from Aero before. The volume that Aero consistently puts out is high and the quality control is consistent and pretty darn good. And if you do get one that slipped out they are good about making it right for you. I like to think of Aero Precision as the one stop shop for reasonably priced AR’s that you wouldn’t mind putting through its paces. I think thats what they were going for and they hit the mark.

.75 MOA accuracy at 100m w/ 20" barrel
First off, with the right ammo this is extremely accurate. The build quality is exceptional and very ergonomic. A bit on the heavy side, which is expected. It doesn't like to cycle steel case ammo, which isn't a problem being I purchased this for precision shooting. I purchased an Aero nitride BCG and Radian Raptor-LT charging handle and everything is very smooth. I've put around 900 rounds through it so far with zero issues, except for the steel case. Like other reviews have mentioned, the QD holes on the handguard are to shallow to use. I prefer my sling point closer to the muzzle, so not a deal breaker. However, Aero should either fix that, or stop advertising it. Overall, I can't recommend this enough!

It’s decent, a few things bother me
First the quick detach locations are blocked by the barrel making the useless. Second, I used an aero precision nickel BCG with the upper, and it had several rounds failure to feed into the chamber. So far not a good experience

QD Points are useless.
The QD points in the handguard can't be used because the barrel is in the way and they can't be inserted. I know in the grand scheme of things this is fairly minor but really? This is your own proprietary rail on your own proprietary upper and the integrated QD sockets don't work. I'm not even using some random off brand QD swivels, they're Magpul QD swivels. You know, the brand of accessory that's installed on MOST OF YOUR RIFLES.
The fit and finish is great and it fits perfectly with an Aero lower so I can't trash it too hard. Otherwise solid.

Disappointed
The qd slots are useless, the barrel is to large to allow any quick detach accessories on the rail. Also the Fitment to the lower is so sloppy I can see plain as day in between them. I can almost slide my credit card in between the receivers when they are assembled.

I bought this upper because of the great reputation of Aero Precision, I haven't used it yet but the obvious craftsmanship and attention to detail is great! I look forward to using more Aero Precision parts moving forward.

I originally posted that the JPBCG would not go into battery and sent it back to Aero. Well I forgot about this review and Aero had gotten me the upper back in about a week from date shipped. Now the bolt locks into battery like butter. I could not be happier with Aero’s customer service in such a time of large demand. Oh and they actually head spaced the bolt to the barrel. They did a field head space but still.

Great Product, Speculation about Optics Planet Resolved
When I ordered this from Optics Planet, I was not worried about the product itself, as I have a lot of confidence in Aero Precision's parts. Instead, I was more worried about Optics Planet itself and whether it would actually ship my item, as I had some speculation. It still took eleven days to ship after my order was placed, but I was pleasantly surprised with this and have no complaints on how my product came out of the box. All in all, I'd recommend Aero Precision's products, and I won't hesitate next time I buy from Optics Planet. I'd recommend doing your own research on this company, however, as I have found that others have had issues with them. Best of luck with your build & God Bless America!
