Good Charging handle

Review for
Aero Precision .308 Breach Charging Handle
Does exactly what you want it to do. Nice long levers make getting to the charging handle easier on a scoped rifle. Aero precision is a solid quality company in my opinion. They are a pretty large operation now so you can feasibly get something that slipped through QC. But if that happens they are great about customer service and fixing the prob. Optics planet is one of the better retailers out there for this king of gear. Thanks guys!

Good budget upper

Aero Precision M5 20in .308 CMV Complete Upper Receiver w/ Flash Hider & ATLAS S-ONE Handguard
Aero Precision has made a name for producing a quality product for a reasonable price. I have several of their uppers and lowers. The fit is pretty good, even well above average but do not expect an LMT or Knights Armament rife or parts in this price range but you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you haven’t bought from Aero before. The volume that Aero consistently puts out is high and the quality control is consistent and pretty darn good. And if you do get one that slipped out they are good about making it right for you. I like to think of Aero Precision as the one stop shop for reasonably priced AR’s that you wouldn’t mind putting through its paces. I think thats what they were going for and they hit the mark.

POF Dictator Gas Block
Written on Oct 20, 2023
Review for
POF USA Dictator Adjustable Gas Block
American made, very good quality, enhanced tune-ability (9 position positive click with audible click), whats not to like? For a .300 blk DI rig an adjustable gas block is a must, especially when shooting suppressed. There are so many ammunition choices and running 3-4 rifles just doesn’t make sense for most of us. Take your rifle with this particular gas block to your shooting area, tune it to each ammunition you like and write down the settings throw some clear tape on each side of the card, put it in the fore-grip or rear pistol grip storage. Problem solved. This is a fantastic upgrade.

Geissele bcg, yes! Price though…
Written on Oct 13, 2023
There are a few premium bcg on the market that match up to this one. But as you’d expect, Geissele quality is surpassed by none. You’ll pay a lot for this bcg, ~$400, but in my opinion, if its in your budget this is the one to get. Their proprietary coating is very durable and its dry lubricity is outstanding. The lab work that went into this coating is beyond my pay-grade but it simply works, every time you squeeze the trigger. Paired with the Geissele h2 buffer and spring, Geissele buffer tube, POF dictator adjustable gas block, (separate review) my pistol length gas system 300 blk, 10.5” built on an M&M lower and a Wilson Combat mil-spec upper runs like a sewing machine. Shooting suppressed is dirty. Really dirty. Even with a tuned adjustable gas block there is significantly more carbon reaching the bcg, trigger, magazine. Even so, the carbon on my bcg wipes of quite easily even after running through 10 or more magazines. For what its worth I am glad I splurged on this bcg. The mil-spec standard bolt that I was running before getting this bcg was leaving some precariously deep lacerations on some of my cases. Not over-gassed marks on the rim, deep scratches. And as we reload, the more life out of the cases we can get the better. This bolt is much easier on them. I’ll likely get another one for my dedicated 556. After I save a while. Maybe the price comes down a little by the time I get around to it.
