Aero Precision Mod 4 HG
The Mod 4 brings some much needed upgrades over the Altas series rails. No barrel nut timing, steel reenforced qd mounts, 7 sided M-Lock, t marks, and a way better anti rotation system. I do not think it is worth the asking price and you mine as well get a Geissele HG at that point, however, at it's sale price I'd say it's definitely worth it. It marries up nice to the AP M4E1 upper and feels and looks great. I can definitely recommend it but not for $280 -- I recommend waiting for it to go on sale for $180 and then get it.
Outstanding quality
Outstanding quality and well executed in design…not for 10.5 inch barrels…for 11.5 or bigger. No Shins, tighten down barrel nut and install gas tube and gas block, slide hand guard on and tighten up the screws. Done….very simple to install. The anodized green is great.

One of the best FF Rails out there
Things my second one of this rail. First one was black for my 6 ARC build, this one was green. I am happy that the anodizing wasn’t the typically shiny effect you see on a lot of other brands. I did have to make a relief groove where it locks up to the upper because of the way the 2A Balios lite receiver are reinforced at the dust cover plate. Easy fix. This added a little weight to this ultralight SBR but it the balance is a little in my opinion.

this thing is built like a tank
This handguard is definitely shtf worthy . U can feel how much thicker the aluminum is with ZERO FLEX in it . I feel like i could run it over with a bulldozer and wont have to worry about it even scratching nevermind bending …… and YES it does work with the riflespeed adjustable gas block . Only thing you have to do to make it fit is pop out the 2 qd sling attachment points and it will slide right through . It has a VERY SOLID lock up . Love that it has the anti rotation tabs and also has 1 adjustment screw one each of the tabs to screw down to touch the upper receiver to make it that much more solid . Dont even think about buying this just do it n i promise you wont be disappointed . Best handguard on the market as far as duribilitt even over the geiselle mk rails

Great upgrade
Got this to replace the Atlas R-One on my latest build. Super easy to swap out. No need for shims as the barrel nut doesn’t need to be timed. Handguard attachment is rock solid. Really pleased with this upgrade.

Mod 4 Handguard
I bought the 12.7 Mod 4 on sale for a new aero M4E1 build and I must say I don't regret my purchase. It was really easy to install, no need for shims or timing and the rail looks great. Love how the it has t marks on it and they line up perfectly with the ones on the M4E1 upper. The Mod 4 is superior to the r-one/s-one rails in so many ways. It has 4 steal enforced qd sling mounts ans 7 sided mlock and the barrel lock up system is so much better than the taper lock on the r-one/s-one rails. I don't think I would of purchased it though if it wasn't on sale. Mine as well get a Geissele rail at that price. Though I would recommend it and would buy it again if it was on sale. It's a very nice handguard and looks great on my aero M4E1 build.
