High quality easy instal
Originally mounted a protac HL-2 from streamlight. And it was perfect. Used the base of this mount to fit a rail mount HLX on my Sig MCX Virtus. Looks great and fits great. The website makes me write two hundred characters to submit this review so I am writing this extra e...

Waste of time
Took a chance on it because I figured how much abuse would a light mount really take to actually fail. It’s not like I’m using the thing as a bat. Turns out under the light recoil of 5.56 it’s enough to to make this thing walk loose every time I’ve used it. First time, shame on me; maybe it wasn’t r...

Great mount.
I own 3 of these the are great. Don’t trust reviews from folks who don’t know how to put loctite on their rifle accessories.

Nice contruction, Good for streamlight G2L LE. Mixed standard / metric hardware?!
A very nicely made, all aluminum mount, set up instantly on my Ruger AR-15 Mlok rail. Looks are pefect, nicely finished in black and very sturdy. Have not range tested it yet. The rings are really nice, fit the Streamlight G2X LE (or any other 1" diameter light) perfectly.
But very strange hardware included.
for the ring that surrounds the light, you need a 3mm hex wrench (included), which is pretty standard for most AR15 accessories. then it gets weird:
They sent two sets of hex screws for use with the Mlok fasteners
--a shorter set, adequate for my rail (socket head cap screws) require a 9/64" wrench (included)
--a longer set I suppose for people with a thicker rail - buttonhead hex bolts, which require a 1/8" hex wrench (NOT included).
A shame they didn't just use 3 mm hardware, the usual standard, for everything - sure would save a lot of hassle when you're in the field so you don't have to carry around all these different hex wrenches. Everything else on my two ARs uses 3 mm hex heads. Who carries SAE wrenches in their bag? I don't think it's a good design idea to mix SAE and metric hardware on any device.

Purchased a 2nd Mount
I purchased a second 45 degree offset mount and still love this thing. I've reviewed the item for use with an ElZetta Alpha light and the second one is for use with a Streamlight Protac HL-X Rail Mount Light. The mount works great because of the direct mounting configuration option. This is a sturdy mount that perfectly positions my lights for tailcap button activation.
Pros:
- tactical
- Sturdy , light , and compact
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- home defence

Exactly what I Wanted
Exactly what I needed. Easy to put on, all the correct fasteners and wrenches. The item came well packaged and with speedy delivery. I will order another at the minimum. The mount puts the light closer to the rail. Well built.

- AR 15

Aim 45 degree Offset Light Mount
I was looking to add a weapon light to my AR pistol but wanted a lightweight and clean setup - the key was this Aim 45 degree offset light mount. There are other 45 degree offset light mounts out there, but I had already decided on using an ElZetta Alpha for the weapon light. The Alpha is also an EDC light for me, so I needed to be able to quickly add the Alpha to the AR and take it off. The simple one screw adjustment on the Aim Mount makes it quick and simple while providing a very secure light mount. The M-Lok connection to my AR pistol is the perfect, low-profile mount setup that I was looking for. I would highly recommend both the Aim mount and the Alpha light.
Pros:
- Durability
- Easy to operate
- low profile design
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Home Defense
- Tactical
Would recommend: Yes
