Great Binos
I shoot 3D tournaments in archery and these are some of the best binos I have found for the price. Very clear, great zoom, very well constructed. I have tried more expencive brands, but these out do them at a better price.
Pros: Light weight and very clear
Cons: Bottom lense covers fall off easy
Alpen Products Perform
I picked these binos up on special at less than $200 based on a higher end pair of Alpen binos I have had for several years; as well as, a 20-60x80 spotting scope that are second to none. Where Alpen may not have the name recognition of some of the other manufacturers, their glass is clear and sharp. I bought this Shasta model as a back up to my other Alpen's and am thoroughly impressed with them. Field of view is clear edge to edge. At 10x, they have good light gathering capability and are very effective in picking up detail in critical low light conditions. If you're looking for a mid-range cost pair of binos, you will be very impressed with with these Alpen Shasta 10x42's. For the cost, they will be hard to beat!
Pros:
- great value and quality in a very reasonably priced piece of gear
Cons:
- None

Fine Binoculars At Affordable Price
These binoculars have allowed me to see clearly even under a thickly brushed forest canopy. I walked within 12 yards of a mule doe when she finally decided to sneak away in a thickly shaded forest area of the Sequoia National Forest and I was able to watch her expression all the way until she headed over a hill.
I also use them for bird watching and saw the finer details on 2 very strange and unusual large Jay-like desert birds that were bright green and mild yellow highlights with long narrow orange beaks and bright yellow eyes perched on a burnt tree.
These are great binoculars.
Pros: Good imaging, color resolution, and light gathering
