Easy upgrade with excellent results

by WeeHooker, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on March 8, 2022
I usually do my own revolver trigger jobs with various spring kits but figured I'd give this one a try. Beyond having a nicely matched spring set, the extended length ( 30 thousandths) firing pin (and lighter FP spring) add some insurance that there should be no light strikes. ( The extended firing pin is worth the price of the kit alone! Results were fast and hassle free with a 9# average double action pull in my J frame. Feels about right and I don't expect any misfires but time will tell.
Pros:
  • Easy install & Light trigger pull
Cons:
  • None

Apex Tactical spring kit

by Cruelshoes, from MA, United States Written on November 6, 2018
This would be great for a target gun. I put it in a carry snubby. I absolutely loved how the trigger felt after putting it in. The directions on their website made it quite easy. The problem came at the range. Due to time constraints, I just put 50 rounds downrange. I had one light primer strike in that box of 50. Part of the reason I use a snubby for EDC is because of reliability. If I want 1 out of 50 to not fire, I will go back to bottom feeders :-)

I put back the original mainspring. Still has a bit lighter trigger pull with the other springs. I have yet to test it for misfires, but I suspect that it will be fine. If not, I will put back the other original springs.
