I got a chance to play with Prometheus for the last month since my buddy was kind enough to lend it to me while he took his family abroad for vacations. First thing that gripped my attention was the way the scope distincts temperature differences. Last Sunday I managed to identify a snake in grass 600 meters away from me. That impressed me greatly, because I wouldn’t notice it even 5 meters away with a naked eye. Another cool thing is that menu is really easy-to-understand; it took me just several minutes to figure out how everything works there. All in all, Prometheus is definitely worth buy...

TEXAS HOG HUNTING
i PURCHASED THE MONOCULAR FOR HOG HUNTING IN TEXAS. i HAVE ONLY HAD ONE CHANCE TO GET OUT TO MY RANCH AND TRY IT OUT. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT SEE ANY HOGS THAT NIGHT, I SAW PLENTY OF DEER AND OTHER WILDLIFE THAT OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN. THE IMAGES WERE VERY CLEAR AND EASY T0 IDENTIFY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MODEL. THE BATTERY LIFE WAS A LITTLE SHORT BUT THAT IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY TO SEE IN TOTAL DARKNESS.

Fantastic device for discovering targets
Being a passionate hunter, I purchased the Prometheus 336 mostly for detecting the targets as for aiming them I prefer to use night vision scope. I took the cheapest one from the Prometheus line and I’m totally happy with it. The resolution of the monocular is 336x256 and this works great with 30Hz refresh rate. In addition to optical magnification it also has digital zoom 1x, 2x and 4x. So both optical and digital ones give up to 12x power. What I also like about this toy, that I can choose any of the wide variety of colored modes depending on weather and ambient conditions. I would say the whole menu is cool and easy to operate. Sometimes I also utilize my Prometheus for home defense as the area we currently live is not that safe as I want it to be for my family.
