For a 2+ gen device this is a great deal. As far as optics I have gotten just what I expected out of them. Amazing Amazing
I could not be any happier buy this NV. Works well past expedition. I would highly recommend this NV. Been using them for night hog hunts, was able to find everyone everytime. They are also great for a second person to spot for you

Great NV at great price
Giving a 5 star because it works as promised. Have only used a few times. Need more time fully exercise to see capabilities. Planning to mount on helmet with IR illuminator. If you buy this NV or any other, get an IR designator also. Keep an eye out for coupons, rebates or specials through Optics Planet. I bought this NV for $10 less than the model below this one.

Great Monocular for Price
This is a great monocular for the price. I also own a PVS-14 3A which is obviously better, but it also cost 3X as much. Unless you plan to use a NV monocular a lot so that long tube life is important or to save your life, this one works fine.
I agree with others that the MUM-type mounting flanges are a pain in the neck and require more expensive mounts. I adapted one of the flanges to use another brand weapon mount that uses Aimpoint Twist Mount bases, but found that, because of the large mounting screw underneath it, it must be elevated an additional 1/2" to clear a fairly flat rear BUIS.

Armasight Sirius ID MG Gen 2+ Night Vision Monocular
This is a great monocular for the price. The controls and switches are easy to use. The exterior has a heavy duty armor coating. I could see across my property easily at 120 yards. There are great accessories available for this item available on Optic Planet's site. Optics Planet is the easiest online store to deal with. Their customer service is unmatched.

Great buy for the money
I am impressed with the NV capabilities of this device. It is at least Gen 2+. It marries perfectly with a Vortex red dot, providing me the ability to use independently as a NV device and then quickly mount to an M4 for night time shooting.

Sirius Gen2+ a good choice
The Sirius Gen2+ Improved Definition monocular is a well-made device that is designed to last. In my opinion, the quality of the image is very good for price of the product. I needed to get an answer regarding the scope that OpticsPlanet customer service could not answer so I call the Armasight customer service and received a thorough and satisfactory response from a friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable service representative, and the call was never put on hold. The Armasight Corporation is a recent entry into the commercial night vision market and it appears that they understand the importance of good customer service and an extensive product selection of well-made products.

Armasight Sirius
Very good device! Im satisfied with its work for 100%! The image is rather better than in the other devices Ive tested before so I dont regret the money Ive spent as I have a device of such a good quality with all necessary features and accessories. Personally I mount the device to the head gear as I prefer to be always ready for shooting. The last time I hunted I purchased it with additional 3x A-focal lens that is very convenient as I mounted it just in seconds without any problems. Armasight Sirius is the best night vision monocular that perfectly fits all my life activities so I would highly recommend not to waste time for searching and order Sirius!

Affordable quality
I was thinking about a Gen 1 monocular first because Gen 2 could drain my budget. But well, I do not buy night vision every day. Besides, the difference in performance between Gen 1 and Gen 2 items is really significant. I bought Armasight Sirius as it turned out to be the best combination of price and quality. It looks a little bit bigger than higher end monoculars, but I do not care I am not going to use it hands free. Im planning to get additional magnification lens for Sirius though, most likely 5x one.
