spring twang sound is gone

stealth recoil spring kit

Best captured recoil spring, in my opinion. The kit comes with the weights you need to balance the recoil and the bolt.. if you're going to buy it buy the whole kit.

  • The only con is it might not work properly on some rifles without removing the buffer spring retaining pin.. but the pro is once you remove it, you have a spring that's captured that puts tension on the bolt, which prevents light strikes

Pretty BA.. you won't regret running it. Regardless of what some of the self proclaimed "shooters" across the interwebs may say.. REMOVE THE DETENT PIN.. and not because it makes it "easier" to install or uninstall.. This particular system will not allow the BCG to fully engage into battery with the pin installed.. The heavy weight was just a little to long for my set up (Mil Spec 6pos adjustable stock) and wouldn't allow the BCG to lock to the rear.. but the medium weight ran perfectly (after I turned the wieght around.. my own dumb mistake).. But yes.. VERY nice! Fully recommend.. and will be buying another for my AR Pistol.

Bought it on 10/5 and it's straight-up essential for my suppressed builds. Slipped one into my 300blk pistol right away, paired with that Wilson lower, and whoa, the cycle's whisper-quiet now, no more spring rattle, just silky bolt reset after two hundred rounds flat. Zero jams, felt recoil's minimal and can be tailored to the ammo, and the adjustable weights help me dial in perfect for suppressed runs too. Build quality screams premium-doesn't scratch or flex, holds tension like a champ. Worth splurging for any serious shooter tweaking their AR. Five stars, no question.

This is the spring

I can't think of a reason not to get this. Adjustable weights, operates sooo much quieter than a stock buffer spring, and it's cheaper than the JP. My first magazine that I ran after installing had a handful of failures to go into battery, but since that "break-in" it's ran flawlessly for a few hundred rounds since. Fully recommend.

An answer for those tired of the AR "SPROING".

It took me a long time to get into AR rifles because I couldn't stand the "SPROING" sound of the buffer, tube, and spring when the action cycles. Finding this has opened up a whole new world of firearms to me.

Very quiet operation. Almost no sound gets transmitted through the buttstock to your cheek/skull. Its well-designed, perfectly machined, and reliable.

I highly recommend getting the full kit and trying out the various weights to see what works best in your rifle. I figured out that the lightest weight (C, 3.3 oz) worked great in my 16" lightweight rifle(s) without sacrificing any reliability. I had not expected that at all.

able to tune my ejection pattern

I purchased the Gen4 C/H1/H2 SRS kit & the Gen4 C SRS, both of my AR's were ejecting at 2 oclock and the other at 1 oclock. Tried the C in both and noticed a minor change to the positive but still not 3>4 oclock as I wanted. Put the H1 buffer in the one ejecting at 2 oclock, and the H2 in the other ejecting 1 oclock both now eject at 3 on the nose. Spring system is solid and quiet, well built and well conceived system for your buffer.
