Most Helpful Positive Review Value product and Great Optics!
I would recommend this item. It is the best value item! Usually a good optics binocular would cost more than $400, this one has the laser rangefinder build in! Optics performance is good, bright images with no discolorations even in low light conditions. Ranging is very accurate! Product comes with ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Extremely Disappointed – No Support for Faulty Product
I recently purchased the Astra Optix HBX1600B rangefinder and was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, the device developed issues shortly after purchase. I attempted to contact Astra Optix for support through email, phone, and live chat, but never received any response—not even an acknowledgment. ...

Great for the Price

by Idahome, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on June 1, 2025
I purchased with the hope of them being at least equivalent to what I already have but in one package. I have Nikon Monarch 7 Binocs and V7 Rangefinder.
Clarity, focus, FOV; equal except for range finder on FOV, Astra was obviously better.
Weight too close to notice
Readability of range; Astra had issues, the readings are too light (gray) need to be red or solid black. Nikon are solid black.
Pinpoint range detection; Astra had issues, had to move dot around to get through 4'x4' gap in trees. Trees were 30yards, car was 114yards. Astra kept picking up trees until I moved the dot to the right. Could be big deal if item wanting range for is 40 yards and trees are 30 yards. I may not notice and shoot for 30 yards at a 40 yard target. MISS or wound goes up. Nikon hit accurate every time.
Fit, form, function; equal
Accuracy of range detection; both accurate

If I didn't own the Nikons I would have kept them but due to the issues mentioned I will stick with what I got.

Pros:
  • Love the texture easy to hold with or without gloves on.

Great features and half the price of others.

by sdkidx, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on December 13, 2024
Finally got these a few days ago. Now I know why they were backordered for over 2 months-- great product!
A few observations:

1. There is no neck strap for these. They are meant to stay in the case and used with the full front-carry straps. I don't care for that-- I bought a strap for them and put that on so I'm not strapping an entire case on to use these. I can still attach it to the case & strap system if I want by just clipping in, but I normally just want them around my neck.

2. The ocular adjustments are "different". The right side gives you focus on the LCD rangefinding info. The left side you focus the eyepiece to match the field of view seen in the other eyepiece as you would normally.

3. The LCD "projection" of ranging data is tilted, and it is only visible in the right side eyepiece. The tilt bugs me, but not a dealbreaker. I do find it easier to shut my left eye when ranging though, then open it again when I have the info. I imagine that is true of other range-finding binocs, but I can't speak to that.

4. The Rangefinding feature is FAST, quickly returning yardages out over 1,000 yards. This is going to be a nice unit if it all holds up well, and I have no reason to believe it won't.

5. Buy it! ;)

comparable

by Thomas Hickman, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on August 22, 2024
First glance great bag out of the box and easy to use. Im a bow hunter and the true yardage to shoot seems to be spot on. They range the same distance as my son’s $1,000 dollar vortex and the glass is just as clear. Very happy with my purchase.

Great product

by Old Chet, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on July 31, 2024
Everything it said it was. Easy to use and very accurate. This replaces a pair of 10x42 binos and a 2200 yard range finder. The weight of this product is 4 ounces lighter than the two previous items and I don't waste time switching from range finder to binoculars.

The glass is great but the range finder turns sideways and the range is hard to read.
