Sunshade fits Talos and Vortex Scopes
I bought the Athlon 50mm sunshade (214061S) for my Athlon Talos 6-24x50 scope. The sunshade is a perfect fit on the Talos scope and also fits my Vortex 6-24x50 Diamondback Tactical and my Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44. The sunshade is well made and serves its function well. The order was processed promptly and delivered on Sunday. Excellent service from Optics Planet.
56mm sun shade
A 56mm objective allows massive amounts of sunlight. The 56mm sunshade controls glare and presents a much improved sight picture

Athlon Cronus BTR sunshade review
Threads right on the unique 56mm threads of the Cronus. However the finish of the sunshade does not match the scope.

Athlon Cronus Sunshade
Fits good, color does not match, I'm using a chap on my scope so it does not matter. If you have tenebrex lens covers it will not work with this sunshade.

Wrong shade of black
If these things matter no they do to some. This shade arrived and it fit fine, but the shade of black was off. The shade is a darker shinier black as opposed to the flat dull black of the scope. I wrote to Athlon, thinking it might have been a lot issue. They replied quickly and said they know about the issue and did not have a fix for it. Some internet searching led me down to some post where others had the same problem, from some 5 years ago. So customers have complained and yet Athlon did not care enough to source the correct powder coatings. There is a fix if these things matter to you, get the Night Force sun shade, matches perfectly.

smooth as butter
The sunshade fits/works as expected. The fit is perfect and the material is nice and firm. There’s not much to this purchase the sunshade is made by the same manufacturer as the glass so you know what you’re getting. Definitely worth the buy.

This was an easy purchase to make, but a harder purchase to commit too. Very worried about fit, shape, weight. All was put to ease once this showed up. The fit is perfect, the material is perfect, and the looks is awesome. Definitely worth the investment for those harsh sunny days.

Perfect match for Athlon Argos
Bought for my Athon Argos BTR Gen2. Fits and matches color and texture exactly. Not sure if it's worth $30 but I definitely needed it so they got me. would be nice if the scope just came with it but... I digress. What else can be said? It's a threaded aluminum tube that goes on the end of your scope but it fits and matches perfectly

Athlon BTR sunshade 10-40x56
I wanted the new sunshade for my Athlon scope. In the good old days the sunshades came with more expensive scopes. The color of the coating is spot on with the color of the scope so that was a relief. If your using a a corrective 20 moa scope mount rail you'll need some super high mount for clearance of the sun shade. It makes for a big unit on top of your rifle. I had no problems with it for my short range 22 Anschutz.
