I actually have two of these particular scopes and a couple each of the rest of the Argos line and can say that they have all been as reliable as a hammer. The Argos line delivers decent glass, etched First Focal Plane reticle, good crisp turrets, zero stop, wide magnification range, side focus, 56mm objective and an illuminated recital and VG fit and finish...... I find this particular 8-34 model useful for shooting my ( rimfire) rifles off the bench at small to medium targets out to the 250 yds I shoot. The extra magnification is really nice for 100 yd "egg" shooting in particular. That said, the image will start to dim up after 30X or so so I rarely take it past that.
If I have ANY gripes with this scope it's that the FFP recital can get a bit "fat" at 30X or so.It's Ok for lollypop and egg shooting at 50-100 yds but the 10-40x56 model with it's second focal plane reticle is a better choice if your trying to shoot 1/4" bullseyes on paper
Pros:
- Feature packed
- great magnification range
- Lifetime warrenty
- Priced Right
- VG quality
Cons:
- a little on the big side
- FFP retical gets heavy at high magnification
- Image tends to dim past 30X or so
- Could use a little more elivation adjustment

Great scope for the price.Features found on scopes costing more.Good clear optics
,easy to use. Only complaint is short eye relief. Other than that totally satisfied , and eye relief isn't a deal breaker.Would buy again

It's everything I hoped for and more the glass is outstanding for the price point. Comparable to a lot of the more expensive scopes I've looked through. I am thoroughly impressed so far! The turrets are very impressive. I like the illuminated reticle a lot too. All and all a great optic.
Pros:
- Glass, turrets price, reticle
Best Used for:
- Range shooting and hunting

This scope showed up in a list on an on-line review. Quite frankly, I had never heard of them, but, was willing to give it a try based on the editor's recommendation. While I haven't had it out to the range yet, I've done some "spotting" thru it, and the glass is great. Eye relief is also as claimed. So far, a great value for the money.

Clarity is great, really like the first focal plane feature. The only down side is a very narrow range for eye relief. The lighted reticle is nice in low light conditions. Mounted on a 6.5 Creedmoor mostly for target shooting. Eye relief issue will make this scope difficult for hunting use.
