There is just something about the form factor of the SAP micro prism that I am not 100% in love with, I cant really put my finger on anything specific...otherwise, it is a perfectly capable small foot-print prism sight. The mount could stand for a few lightening cuts For its intended purpose, this is a fantastic site, essentially the same size as your average tube style red dot. The reticle is etched and illumination is good enough for day light bright. My original sight had some minor issues with a diopter that had been threaded on by the strongest of our robots, customer service was quick and very easy to deal with, the replacement had no issues at all. The site does sit a tiny bit high with the top turret, but does not necessarily increase its snag risk (if you catch a snag you're catching the entire sight, the tiny turret isnt much). Turret caps on the version i received were not tethered. Mount is a little chunkier than I would have liked but perfectly functional. This is absolutely the smallest and overall lightest prism sight available. So if youre looking for an etched reticle (for SHTF or astigmatism for example), want the smallest prism, and dont mind the chunky mount or form factor, there is no other sight out there to my knowledge that is better than the SAP.

A great scope for those of us with astigmatism-an actual dot to see rather than the red smear you would get from a non prism scope. Smaller size is nice as well. I give this one a definite 2 thumbs up.
