This scope was given to me as a present and I put it on my remington 700. It has made my deep woods hunts in vermont so much easier. I able able to see all the heat sources and the rangefinder is freaking so cool.

This thing is a lifesaver! I'm a farmer and I got the ATN ThOR 5 XD (with the laser rangefinder, so worth it!) to help keep an eye on my livestock, especially at night and in bad weather. Just the other week, we had a pea-souper of a fog roll in and I lost track of a couple of newborn calves. I was frantic! But with this scope, and its amazing thermal sensor, I was able to locate them huddled together in a thicket. The image was crystal clear even in that thick fog – I could even make out their little ears twitching! Seriously, it was like magic.

Being able to actually see in the dark and through the fog has been game-changing for me. The ballistic calculator is helpful too, not for shooting (obviously!) but for judging distances to my animals when they’re way out in the pasture. The recoil activated video is another great feature. I don't use it for recoil, but I've set it up to start recording whenever it detects motion, so I can monitor for predators. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are handy for quickly sharing images and videos with the vet if there's a problem. It's a little pricey, but honestly, the peace of mind it gives me is priceless. This scope is an invaluable tool for any livestock manager.

The packaging on ATN Thor scopes is top notch with a quality box but the accessories were jammed into a second box, inside a box. As a result, the rubber eyecup was permanently deformed. ATN has an excellent website that is easy to navigate, I posted the issue I had with the deformed rubber eyecup. Within a few minutes Rod Gerard had answered with a replacement rubber eyecup on its way. It's obvious that he prides himself in making things right by correcting problems promptly. ATN Fed-Ex'ed a replacementcu and it's perfect. I'm very happy with my Thor 5 XD LRF 2-20X 1280x1024

The Thor 5 functions and feels similar to my X-sight 4K. The resolution is excellent compared to previous monoculars and scopes I have been exposed to. This optic is a tad bit heavy if weight is a concern though. I have not mounted it to a rifle yet, but have spent plenty of time trying to learn the menus & controls. I was a little disappointed, when I received the shop, to find that there was a strand of glue visible inside one of the LRF lenses. With that said, the LRF still seems to function fine. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchased considering the price point.

When looking for a thermal scope, I researched a lot of different options. I went with 2-20 thor for its versatility and image quality. So far this scope has been great to use. I do have 1 complaint, i have used the scope 8 times and 3 of those time the scope has froze and required me to do a hard shutdown. If this happened during a hunt I would be very disappointed.

Wow, this ATN ThOR 5 XD is a game changer! As a hunter, ethical shot placement is everything to me, and this scope makes it so much easier. The thermal imaging is unbelievable – crystal clear, even in the dead of night. I can positively identify my target and make sure I'm taking a clean, responsible shot every time. The 1280×1024 sensor and that SharpIR thing they talk about really do make a difference. It's like looking through night vision goggles, but way better!

The built-in ballistic calculator is a lifesaver too. I dont have to mess around with charts or apps anymore; the scope does all the calculations for me, factoring in wind and distance. And the optional laser rangefinder? Forget about it! Instant range readings right in my scope. Plus, I love that it records video when I shoot – the recoil activated video is so cool for reliving those hunts and sharing them with my buddies. Being able to connect to my phone with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is super handy for tweaking settings and downloading videos. I went with the 2-20x magnification, which is perfect for the ranges I hunt at.

The ATN ThOR 5 XD has honestly elevated my hunting game. It's made me a more ethical and efficient hunter, which is really important to me. I've used it in all sorts of weather – from freezing cold to sweltering heat – and it's held up like a champ. Scope has issues that should have been addressed prior to release.

This new ATN Thor 5 XD 2-20 LRF is going to be absolutely amazing when I get it zeroed in. Can't wait to get it into the field. Thanks Optics Planet for the great deal!

The HD Optics are amazing, had an older model with 320 sensor and you will get by with it, but this is a game changer. With 1280.X 1024 sensor you no longer have to see how an animal walks to figure out what it is. You’ll know it’s a coyote, and with LRF, you’ll know exactly how far away It is and where to hold. Battery life is exceptional. Haven’t used all the bells and whistles yet, but with the XD + LRF, you feel like you own the night.
