Extremely Solid Mount

Love this window mount. Used it out west for a mule deer hunt spotting and stalking! Was very nice to just clip on the window of your vehicle

Nice but not perfrect

There is noticeable play in the "switcheroo" mating. The ball bearings do not provide enough bearing surface which allows the stem to flex in the socket. Especially noticeable with a heavy spotting scope mounted.

It would also help if the locating pin was relocatable. The pin is able to be moved 90 degrees but the alternate location doesn't have the retaining screw's threads tapped. With the scope I have the locating pin only works if it is moved that 90 degrees.

  • flexability if you have other pieces from the switcheroo system
Cons:
  • play in system
Best Used for:
  • lighter cameras/scopes

Spotting Scope Adjustments

Good product, rigid and well made. Does not lock in the horizontal movement axis. Is only made to lock in the vertical axis. Not a problem just information. Works well as a spotting scope platform. Easy to release item from the mount.

  • range spotting

A good buy

Well made,fair price and I feel confident using my razor spotting scope on it that it wont fall off! The best part it makes my tripod more useable, ITS A RIFLE REST AND A SCOPE MOUNT.OPTICS PLANET was very helpful, will buy again.
