I had minimal expectations for this scope. I know you generally get what you pay for. I always buy expensive Scopes but man the features on this one litterally blew me away. The dual focal plane redical is really awesome. I've never seen that before. The clarity is ultra sharp and Crystal clear. I do agree with others that the large turrets are uneeded for this type of scope. The strike fire iii is a really nice addition. However I wish the peper mount was the qd version as I don't like the nutz. That's probably my biggest gripe with the scope honestly. Everything is the best of the best except the mount... Just a bummer. All in all I'm really happy though.
Best Used for:
- Close to medium range wepons. 700 yards would be pushing it.

Bought the Burris XTR II for use in 3 gun competitions. From the beginning: the optic zeroed easily and retains it's zero under strenuous circumstances, the switch for optical light is easy to use and quickly adjusts between brightness levels, the Reflex sight mount on side of optic vs side of gun allows for quicker transition between optics. The quality of glass in the optics is very clear and obviously high quality. Overall I love this optic combination, the durability of both, and the quality of construction.

This is an excellent piece of glass. I put this on my rifle and zeroed it a few days before a match. Had no issues with the various distances of targets, even the up close speed stages. The reticle was clear throughout the zoom ranges. On the lowest zoom setting it's like having a red dot.
The glass is big but very light and since it came with a mount, it was easy to install. I only had to make minimal adjustments to zero it in. Came with scope covers which is very nice.
Pros:
- Clear glass at long range

I mounted this on a Daniel Defense M4V7 and sighted in with 55gr FMJ. Scary accurate combination even with a milspec trigger and ammo. I bought this because it is a set with optic, mount and RMR all in one, and it did not disappoint. I had to shim the front ring to get elevation squared away but beyond that this is an all in one kit complete with lens covers. Quality of build, clarity, robustness, and cool factor all on par with my ACOG. I know this is more expensive than other offerings but I like having 8x magnification and I like this reticle. Being able to snap over 45 degrees to the RMR is also a plus, so I don't feel limited in POU at all with this rig. It's a little on the heavy side, but I like being able to hit what I am aiming at, so I'm happy to carry a few extra ounces in exchange for the confidence. All in al very happy with the Bushnell XTR II combo.
Pros:
- Robust
- great reticle
- full-featured
- all-in-one package

The Burris xtr2 has great magnification glass is very clear but for a 34mm tube 13" inches long, for 3 gunners lots of peps are saying it's too heavy but in reality when that buzzer beeps you won't even realize the weight of your rifle... For those who are upgrading their scope and have an AD RECON mount you can change the rings to 34mm you can get them at midwayusa for about $50 that's if u wanna save a little $...

Got this scope to replace a Vortex Viper PST 1-4*24. I bought this because of 1.5-8 variable magnification (my eyes are getting old).
Appearance - Great looking with a very rugged look. It's Big and long.
Feel - Turrets are tight and good solid click. Variable adjustment is tight which I really like.
Eye Relief - definitely 4". I was immediately impressed.
Glass (Clarity) - IMO it's better than Vortex I just sold... Very Clear at any magnification.
Reticle - Dual Focal Plain... That's why I bought this optic. With my eyes, having the optic grow as you get into higher magnifications is a huge plus. DFP allows reticle to be accurate at any magnification. I think this is going to be the way of the future.
Brightness - AWESOME. I was really disappointed with brightness on Vortex Viper. Burris is amazing in any light without halo'ing you might see in cheaper optics.
Weight - Only downside. It's definitely a heavier optic. If weight is a big issue, then this may not be optic for you.
Lastly, If your concerned about ths 1.5 base magnification. Don't. It doesn't affect aiming or shot close up.
Pros:
- Brightness
- eye relief
- Clarity, light transmission
- Dual Focal Plain

This scope is a good choice. The DPF reticle is really perfect and clear. The only trouble I find is that the zoom adjuster is a little bir to hard to turn. But this scope ern five stars, because you will not find the same for the same price . Thanks also to OpticsPlanet

Great general purpose optic for AR. The red dot is good for quick acquisition of close in targets like hogs or any. Game in dense forests in the north east. The magnification in more than adequate for the range of an AR. Shoots the box perfectly and the FFP reticle allows ranging without worrying about the magnification level.
Pros:
- Sturdy, good glass, bright enough red dot
Cons:
- Would be better with a 1x low power, heavy

Mounted this scope on an AR-15 for Hog hunting. At first look it is massive in appearance. Very heavy. Being 34mm tube makes finding rings difficult. Burris R.E.P.R one piece mounts are not high enough for proper eye relief, but will work. The Glass is not as clear as I had hoped from a scope of this price. Now the Good. the Power Range 1.5x to 8x makes for long as well as short shots. I have the Dual Focal Plane reticle, the illuminated circle for close range then the lines and dots for long range. Positive locks on the windage and elevation keep unwanted adjustments from happening as well as return to zero stop. I also own Millet designated marksman 1x-4x and 1x-6x I believe are a better value for this type of scope. This scope is purpose built for CQB so , I would not recommend for Deer Hunting at long ranges.
Pros:
- Illuminated reticle
- rugged design
- Zero Return Elevation Turret
- 556 ballistic reticle
- 1.5x 8x power range
Cons:
- Heavy
- price
- 34mm tube hard to find rings
- glass not that sharp
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- Hunting 10yd - 300yds
- Pig Hunting

I mounted it on a Scar17. I felt it was the best value. Hands on, it was the brightest, the easiest on eye relief, because I did not want a enlarged front optic. Downside, it is big, 2lbs, pepr mount screws get in the way of the charge handle, FF3 show top mount in ads, but top turret is in the way.
