Burris 2-7x32mm Scout BDC Scope
What's not to like? I bought this scope to put on my Ruger Gunsite Scout .308 and am very pleased with the results. I mounted the Burris Scout scope forward of the ejection port and am able to acquire ultra fast targets with both eyes open.I used Warne QD rings on the Ruger supplied scope base. This...

It's hard to come down from Leupold
I bought this scout scope only because the Leupold didn't have as high of magnification. But I wish I would have bought the Leupold anyway. This Burris Scout scope is of medium quality, but noticeably a downgrade from what I've made myself used to. My biggest complaint, and the reason for the 3 s...

What's with the blue tint?
Seriously, my Aimpoint PRO is clearer glass. No idea why Burris has a blue tint bonnet the glass?

scout scope
Haven't been to the range yet but scope seems solid. Mounted scope on an M1A scout. Tried Leupold but scope design/ length covered the ejection port so would inhibit use of speed clips. This scope fits perfectly.
Pros:
- Optics
- optics are good. Has duplex BCD reticule if you want that ability
Cons:
- heavy crosshair portion could be thicker to facilitate quicker targeting in low light
Best Used for:
- any rifle with forward optics mounting system
Would recommend: Yes

Amendment to my earlier review
When I received this scope, I really liked the simplicity of the Ballistic Plex Reticle, the scope looked great on my rifle and the eye relief was amazing! The only issue I had, was the lock ring for the diopter adjustment was extremely tight to the point that I was afraid I would damage the scope trying to break it loose. I decided to send it in to Burris for repairs, as this was not an Optics Planet issue. I was a little bit unhappy to find out that the turnaround time was between 4 and 6 weeks. (also, keep in mind that Optics Planet was completely willing to provide a RMA - Return Merchandise Authorization to take the product back for full refund or exchange.) Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Burris support was very hands on and they provided e-mail updates regarding the transit and repair progress. Long story short, I have my Scope back and mounted and leveled on my rifle after only two weeks! I haven't had it out to the range yet, but I can't wait to get out and run this thing! Much thanks to both Optics Planet and to Burris Optics!

Like the Scope, but Diopter adjustment impossible out of the box
I really like this scope, and purchased it after watching many reviews. The issue I am having is that right out of the box, the ocular housing lock ring for diopter adjustment was so tight, I was unable to break it loose. needless to say, after waiting for 2 weeks to get the scope, I had to send it in to Burris for repairs and I haven't even been able to try it out yet. Now I'm locked into a possible 5-6 week turnaround with Burris. I am hopeful they will expedite this process as this is a brand new purchase. As a side note though, Optics Planet did offer to let me return this product, but I really felt that this was not their fault, it was a fault of the manufacturer, so that being said, I will definitely be buying from Optics Planet again. It remains to be seen If I will buy another Burris scope. So Far though, Burris seems to be taking care of the issue. I did trial fit the Scope on my rifle and was very pleased with the clarity and eye relief that this scope has. I hope this helps anyone that is considering this product.

Best Scout Scope for the M1A
I haven't taken the rifle to the range since purchasing the Burris scope, but I'm sure it will do just fine. The build quality of the
Burris scope is excellent and I'm happy I didn't go with the other brand scope.

great optic setup for SA M1A Scout Rifle
Been wanting this upgrade for a while. The eye relief is spot on for a forward mount scope. A great companion for the .308/7.62 round!

Sight then Sound of a Pew, Pew.
I recently purchased the Burris Scout Scope 2-7x32. This is in my opinion a very good piece of equipment. The aluminum construction & craftsmanship build is really, really, good. The glass is made in the Philippines & displays the Plex Reticle perfectly. In my opinion the 2-7 zoom ring is a bit stiff & it would've been nice if the company installed a throw lever. Over all this scope is perfect for my project & it is placed on my Mossberg MVP Scout .308 Cal Rifle. One more thing, the eye box is amazing & crystal clear even at 9.5 inches from my eyes.
Pros:
- Build quality
- eye relief and Clarity
- construction & design well
- light but solid
- Eye box, glass
Cons:
- None

Good scope with caveats
I have been looking for a scout scope for volquartsen cantilever barrel mount on 10/22 takedown. This fits the bill and so did Leupold 1.5-4x. I went with this because of higher zoom. However I found the 9-12” eye box little too much for my setup and also more distracting for my eyes. The scope is not very bright and I had a hard time rotating the diopter. There are not many scout scope options out there, so this is a good option just not best for me. I ended up with Leupold which is brighter, lighter and has a shorter eyebox of 6-7” which is more appropriate for my setup.
