A lot of scope for the $$$
Burris’ Forever Warranty hmeon me iver years ago. I’ve used it once and they stood behind their product…no questions asked! This is a lot of scope for the money! Glass is clear and it’s well built. Only wish is that it had parallax adjustment(would have been 5 stars), but since it’s going on a 200yd rifle I can do without.
Quality way beyond price
Probably one of the best multi use scopes in it’s category and at its price point.
Pros:
- Good clarity dusk and dawn
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- All hunting applications
Would recommend: Yes
SDBowman love this scope
Great scope for low light and back country hunting. It is lightweight and rugged!
Pros:
- easy to use
- Excellent value
- Lightweght
- tough build
Cons:
- none for me
Best Used for:
- hunting, low light conditions
Would recommend: Yes
Great scope
I've always been a fan of burris scopes and this one hits all the marks I was expecting when I purchased it.
Pros:
- value
- light weight
- Clairity
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
Would recommend: Yes
No parallax adjustment.
The glass is clear and stays in focus when changing the magnification. The size of this scope is perfect for rimfire caliber. The only drawback is the lack of parallax adjustment. It would be a fine scope for shooting at 100 yards or farther with bigger calibers, but there is to much parallax for rimfire at 25 and 50 yards.
Pros:
- Clear
Cons:
- No parallax adjustment.
Best Used for:
- 100 + yards IMO
Would recommend: Yes

Better mechanically than expected
There is good balance between budget and functionality here.
Zeroing controls are very straight forward, and offer a good deal of adjustment and configuration optics. The turret ring having been made with no splined interface comes as both a good budget design as well as gives the ability to be picky about marking alignments.
Reticle was very well thought out! The simple center illuminating cross is all that's needed for hunting applications, and the wind hold design is basically hidden within a simple duplex. This is a great reticle to help duplex only hunters start adding simple references for wind hold.
Burris is walking a very nice line for budget vs features by how they are engineering the features to work along with budget minded manufacturing / machining process.
I don't want to push the budget any higher on this scope, but a true MOA turret (not SMOA 1/4")and a 5-6 mrad turret would be FABULOUS!
It's hard to come from a mindset of precision rifle to hunting and still expect a scope to track even when it's a more budget minded proposition.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Great scope at the price point
After spending several weeks testing, the Burris Fullfield 3–12×42, I can confidently say it strikes a solid balance between clarity, performance, and value. I’ve used a wide range of optics in both hunting and range settings, and this scope easily holds its own against higher-priced competitors.
Mounting and zeroing the Fullfield were smooth and intuitive. The scope’s solid construction made alignment easy, and the included instructions were clear. I was impressed with how quickly I achieved a tight zero within a few rounds and the reticle adjustment was responsive with tactile, repeatable clicks. The turrets have a nice resistance that prevents accidental movement in the field but are still easy to fine-tune.
In terms of shootability, the Fullfield shines. The eye relief is generous, allowing a comfortable shooting position. The magnification range (3–12×) provides flexibility, 3× is perfect for quick shots in tight cover, while 12× gives excellent clarity out to 300 yards. The Advanced Exposed Synergy (AE) knob paired with the Burris app and zero-stop makes real-world hold/dial workflows straightforward, you can quickly generate holdover or dial recommendations in the app, then set the knob or use the reticle holds as needed. The glass is crisp, with impressive light transmission in low-light conditions like dawn or dusk. While this model doesn’t include digital features like picture-in-picture or onboard rangefinding, its simplicity and optical precision make it a shoot...

Great Value Scope
Very good value scope. I mounted it up on an air rifle with no problems. Easy to sight in. Eye relief is excellent. Windage and elevation adjustments are nice tactile clicks. Forgot a battery so I was unable to test the light up reticle. Held zero despite being bumped around in the truck for a few days.

Versatile, Clear, and Lightweight — Perfect for Rimfire and Hunting Rigs
I’ve had the chance to test the Burris Fullfield 3-12x42mm Illum. PA AE Wind MOA on several rifles including my Springfield Waypoint .22LR, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308. After plenty of range time, I plan to keep it on the Waypoint for precision rimfire work and move it to the Creedmoor for lighter-weight hunting trips.
Ease of Setup:
Mounting and zeroing were straightforward. The turret adjustments tracked accurately and returned to zero without any issues. The reticle illumination and side parallax were intuitive and easy to fine-tune.
Shootability:
Eye relief is generous, and the magnification ring is smooth with just the right amount of resistance. The illuminated reticle is crisp even in low light, making it great for early morning or late-evening hunts. I found the button ergonomics simple and responsive, and clarity remained excellent across the entire magnification range.
Field-Worthiness:
This optic feels durable and well-balanced. It’s rugged enough for the field yet light enough for long hunts or rimfire sessions. It’s already handled everything from small-bore sessions to full-power recoil without losing zero.
Price Value:
For the performance, build quality, and optical clarity you get, the value is excellent. Burris continues to deliver dependable optics at a fair price point.
Suggested Improvements:
A slightly larger or more tactile illumination control would make quick adjustments easier with gloves, but that’s a minor detail.
Recommendation:
I’d recomme...
