Most Helpful Positive Review Now up to 4 Fastfires and Retired Optima 2000
My second review. I am now up to 4 Fastfires - all bought on this site!. I have retired my Optima 2000 and am considering a new home for it. The only oddity that the Burris has that can cause problems is the intensity steps. In low light like a fairly dark indoor range, the low intensity dot is s...

Most Helpful Negative Review Glock mount
This is a great mount if you are going to put it on a small frame glock. It is not designed to fit large frame glocks. I had to use a dremel tool to machine the mount so that it flush mounted to the top of a G21 frame. Otherwise it does not fit the large frame pistol. They need to make a glock m...

Burris fast fire red dot mount

by mixlex, from IN, United States Written on March 11, 2024
I put this dovetail mount on my Ruger mkiii. Easy to install. Fits the contour of the gun perfectly. I placed my order March 1st. Started worrying after no more tracking updates after the fifth. Then, when I hit the tracking botton on the email, it kept saying "we don't know where this order is".I thought sure it had gotten lost. Then today, March 11, it just showed up in my mailbox,so it's all good.
Pros:
  • easy install, looks great
Cons:
  • None

Mount for mossberg 935

by Shane, from TN, United States Written on March 16, 2023
Bought this for my mossberg 935 fits perfect. Line of sight does not make me shoulder the gun any different. I would recommend this on a mossberg 935 or any gun with the the same mounting hole pattern
Pros:
  • Great fit and really low line of sight
Cons:
  • Price $$$
Best Used for:
  • Red Dot Mount

Fastfire mount for Ruger Mark 2

by Andrew, from WI, United States Written on October 2, 2021
Nice, clean mount for a Ruger 22. Uses the rear sight dovetail slot, so the pistol doesn't need to be drilled and tapped for a mount. Easy to install. Allows for nice looking sighting system for an older Ruger Mark 2.

Side Screw Broke 1st Shot

by Lee, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on December 21, 2020
Installed this mount on my Ruger Super Redhawk .480, with the Burris Fastfire 3 red dot. First shot at the range, I felt something hit me in the face, which felt like spent brass. I looked at my revolver, and the Fastfire site and mount were gone. Luckily, I found the site a few feet behind me. Turns out, the side attachment screw on the left side of the base broke clean off. I believe it was the screw head I felt hit me in the face. In hindsight, I'm glad it broke on the first shot, before I wasted precious ammo (I can't find .480 Ruger ammo anywhere) sighting it in. I plan to send it back to Optics Planet, and will give it another try, as I really like the way this site looks/feels on this revolver. I am concerned about this Burris Fasfire 3 red dot holding zero now, as it hit the cab of the truck behind me when it flew off the revolver, before then hitting the ground.

Perfect fit for 1911

by Spider, from MN, United States Written on December 21, 2020
Rather than attempting to match the curvature of the top of the slide which may vary the mounting plate bridges the the top with a groove. You screw it to a threaded plate that fits into the dovetail for the rear sight. Be sure to use thread lock and level the plate before tightening the two screws.
Pros:
  • Low profile
Cons:
  • You need to be careful to position it before tightening screws or it can be canted left or right

For Fastfire Reflex sight

by Cam, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on January 31, 2020
Super easy to attach Fast fire to Burris Optic. Two screws to attach and one to bolt on. took me about 4 minutes. The piece is pretty discreet and none bulky as well. I have not taken it to the range to shoot yet, but will update if there are any issues.

Burris FastFire Mount for Marlin 336ss.

by Paul, from KY, United States Written on December 2, 2019
I purchased a cloverleaf peep sight from ranger point for my marlin 336. The quality was excellent but my old eyes just don't work like they used to so I went looking for a low profile red dot sight. Ended up with the vortex viper and it fit perfectly on this Burris mount. Haven't had it out to shoot yet but so far it looks great.

The mounting plate does not fit

by Cliff, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on November 11, 2019
I recently purchased the Burris FastFire III Red Dot Sight and a Red Dot Sight Mounting Plate to fit my S&W M&P 2.0 9mm Compact. The mounting plate is milled with a slight concave under belly that is supposed to fit the top of the slide, the problem is, the slide in the M&P 2.0 is flat. The mounting plate I received marked S&W M&P # 410336 must be designed and milled for the original M&P not the 2.0. Somehow, no one realize the difference or failed to add this little bit of information in the product description. I have reached out to Burris on two separate occasions, but apparently, no ones home. I hate to send the entire order back to OP, I don’t think they are the faulty party here. The mounting plate will not seat snugly to the slide, therefore, rendering the Red Dot Sight useless. I contacted OP for some help and as always they said return the items. I hate to do that, but I’m afraid I have no choice. Thank you OP for standing behind your customer service pledge.
I guess if Burris had answered my request for help, or at least explained why the mounting plate was Not designed for the newer 2.0 models, then I wouldn’t have given them poor rating.
