good scope
If you can not afford a Nightforce, and believe that leupold may be riding on reputation, this scope is the one for you features of the higher end scopes, seems solid , I printed 1/4 MOA groups at 200 yards this weekend, so I have no complaints. only shot once with it so can not attest to long term dependability , but I will say Burris stands behind their products. they sent me , a torx tool and a couple of spare screws for the mount no questions asked when I over torqued them and stripped them , I would buy their products again
The glass is very poor
I know it is not a SCHMIDTT & BENDER! I have 2 other Burris scopes and the glass is pretty good
but the XTR II Tactical 5-25x50mm glass is very disappointing. The scope was advertised for long range
purposes with glass like this it will not be any good past 200 yds.

Shipping ?
The scope has not been unwrapped but the box came with a puncture in it. I do not know if I should assume the packing protected the scope or return it for another.
The price was good compared to other 34MM scopes with the same features. I have the Bushnell 34MM scope which cost more and does not have the "Zero Stop".
The issue with the 34mm scopes is the limited availability of rings and base setups, they are all extremely expensive, or what I consider over priced. Plus they are heavy and should not be considered for hunting.

Good for the money
I was considering Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II for my TRG 42 in .338 Lapua, but opted for this new Burris, due to the high S&B price. I've shot it once by now - just sighted-in at 200 yards. In general, I'm happy with my purchase. The clarity of the glass is no S&B, but at a third of the price - it's very impressive. The wheels are comfortable and adjustments are precise. I've got a 1.5 inch 5-shot group at 200 yards, which is OK, but keeping in mind that .338 Lapua is not yet stabilized at that range. I didn't have an opportunity to use the scope at a longer range yet and cannot attest to its longevity, as I've just got it. In all- I'm happy with the scope as a value for the price. Maybe I'm judging too harsh, as I use Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II for the benchmark, which sells for $3,700.
Pros:
- Good value for the money.
Cons:
- Paralax wheel doen't have a solid feel when adjusting.
Best Used for:
- Long range shooting.
