I've waited quite a while to writ this review. The 1st strike has worked well for me. Very light weight. Easy on, easy off.Have it mounted on a 5.56 cal.PDW and has held up well to continuous "use". I've seen the bad reviews and sorry you've had such bad luck. I'm not wealthy by any metric and Bushnell has been a great option for me.I can't think of anything I've asked it to do that it has failed at. there are much more expensive options out there with more features. Haven't needed them yet. I try not to use my hammer as a screwdriver. God bless you all. Keep your powder dry.
Pros:
- great product at this price point

This sight has a very open design and small footprint. Worked perfectly on my AR .300 pistol for close in shooting (25 & 50 yards). I was also able to consistently ring an 8” steel gong at 100 yards. My issue is that the mounting bolt sheared while shooting, sending the sight flying. After inspection, the mounting bolt looks to be made of very cheap, brittle steel. It was not over-tightened; I check everything with a torque wrench. Bushnell is sending me a replacement bolt, after several hours of customer service torture waiting on hold. But I’m not sure I’ll ever trust something again that is made so cheaply.

Buyer beware. This devise arrived Device arrived in nice packaging but that is all it has going at this point. Battery installation was simple but the device does not work. I swapped out for a fresh battery but nothing. Additionally no trouble shooting instructions but that is to be expected. It’s not complicated to operate. I am disappointed in the device and plan to request a refund. Maybe there was a reason for the discounted price. You get what you pay for in life. Lastly, I didn’t know the device was made in China either…..this probably explains the whole issue…..no Quality Assurance from the CCP.

Working great on my Browning Buckmark. Battery tray on unit sent was different than instructions. Result: Broken battery tray. Replaced promptly by Bushnell. Unnecessary hiccup. I've had good luck with Bushnell products. This dot is basic and functional.
Pros:
- it works
- It works as expected.
Cons:
- Poor attention to detail by mfg.

Waited about a month for this optic to come back in stock. Optics Planet got it to me and kept me posted the whole time.
I unboxed the unit, put in the battery, and nothing. I flipped the battery, and nothing. I tried different batteries, and nothing. I looked up online to see if I was doing something wrong, and found lots of people having the same thing. A good sign is that I bought this one "on sale" from Optics Planet for what I thought was a bargain. Bushnell is selling the thing direct even cheaper than Optics Planet is during what I would call a really attractive sale. That's no sleight AT ALL to Optics Planet, but it tells me Bushnell knows they have a problem with this optic, and they want to get rid of them pretty bad.
Another odd bit on this optic. It didn't come with a manual of any kind or instructions. It also doesn't come with any kind of cover to protect it like Vortex and Sig do.
I'm sure a lot of them work just fine. Mine didn't, and it doesn't look like that's all too uncommon.
Cons:
- Didn't work right out of the box

At around $200 this isn’t the cheapest reflex red dot on the market but it’s still well below the top tier options. I’ve had a few of these now with mixed results. Some have been great but the most recent was dead on arrival and had to go back. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives; clear, rugged, wide field of view, simple adjustment and controls, holds zero well under heavy recoil impulse. However, build quality seems to be the proverbial “box of chocolates” so be ready to look your new optic over and fully function test it before getting rid of the packaging (it might be needed for a return trip). For what you get with the clear glass, wide field of view, etc. I think it’s definitely worth the possible risk of having to return one.

Hello fellow first responders, military, vets, and gun enthusiasts, I was in need of an offset site for my AR rifle. I already have a 1-8x24 scope as my primary site since this rifle is more for long range, but needed something for close contact drills. I opted for this Bushnell Optic for one primary reason, ease of access to the battery compartment (it slides out of the right side). This is a perfect setup for my needs since there is no need to remove the optic plus the on/off button is on top of the site (so no trying to get to the left side of optic which is butted up against my primary scope). So far it's been a nice addition, but I still need more practice time with it to truly review it. Hence the 4 out of 5 stars. Hope this helps with your needs and/or decision making. Aim small, miss small.

From rimfire & centerfire rifles to pistols, a reliable and dependable optic. I have one mounted on a Volquartsen Black Mamba 22LR, using the picatinny rail, quick acquisition and holds zero. I would recommend this optic.

I was in the market for a lightweight red dot for my AR. This fits the bill perfectly. The riser makes it comfortable to shoot with and the tool it comes with (allen wrench screwdriver combo) helps sight it in quickly. When shooting in direct sunlight, it does tend to glare, but the main dot is still more than visible. Time will tell how tough it is, but it seems well built and i don't plan on being nice to it.
