Solid quality belt

Written on Jan 05, 2021

Love this belt! Fits perfectly in BDU pant belt loops. I am a size 36-38" waist so I ordered the Med/Lg size. I will say it is a bit too long as it more than wraps through the first belt loop which isn't necessary since has hook and loop fasteners. When I try to tighten it up more, the end with the triangle ring ends up butting up to the other belt loop making it impossible to tighten more.

Appropriate for tactical shooting, good entry scope but not the best for LRP shooting.

I spent a lot of time researching an entry-level scope. It is my first VRO purchased for a new Bergara B-14 HMR chambered in .308 cal. I am interested in entering the competitive shooting world but I am on a fixed budget so price for everything is paramount. The scope features are fantastic for the price; however, the glass clarity and zoom range are not ideal for precision shooting at long distances (> 800 yds). I knew going in to this purchase that it has BDC factored in for 175 and 168 gr SMK ammo. Unfortunately, what I can find at this time without breaking the bank is 7.62x51 NATO 147 gr ammo. As such, the scope has some inherent limitations if you opt to use different bullet weights or velocities or choose to eventually do custom hand loads. I did like the range estimation feature but admittedly, the recticle is a bit busy and for a novice like me, it's a bit visually overwhelming. My neighbor, more experienced in LRP shooting suggested I look at the Anthlon Optics series--specifically the Midas TAC 6-24x50mm. While I compared the Midas TAC to the Helos to the Argos, the main difference I found between the Argos and the Midas TAC was the HD glass clarity. The Helos, seems to have the same non-HD glass that the Argos has; however, it is somehow slightly better and the turrets supposedly are slightly better. Problem with the Helos is it does not offer a Zero stop feature and the recticle does not have the expanding grid below the crosshairs. So for the cost diff

JUNK, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Written on Oct 13, 2020

I read countless reviews on this website, competitor websites, Amazon, and even watched a handful of YT videos about Open Reflex Sights. I thought I was making a sound decision considering all the features this has for a $300.00 price tag. I used a US Army M4 Carbine 25m target to zero. My shooting buddy has an Aimpoint and zeroed his in 9 rounds. He and I are about equal marksmen. After 15 rounds--5 sets of 3 shots, I wasn't even hitting the 8.5"x11" piece of paper. My buddy tried as well and still couldn't hit the silhouette. I even walked up to 7m and fired unsupported and NONE of the 6 rounds landed on the paper! Thinking, perhaps, it was me, I tried his. I put 3 near or in the silhouette.

Three striking differences is that he does not have an Iron backup sights while I have the Magpul BUS (plastic of course), the A2 front post and mine being an M&P 15 Sport II while his was a Ruger. Distances, shooting platform, weather and skill ability were all equal. I would not recommend this for anyone who find it difficult to align their eye in the center of the tempered glass lens as my view always showed the the red dot right and usually low. I tried correcting my sight alignment and still had no luck hitting paper--let alone the target. I am really disappointed since it has tons of features--3 reticle choices, solar powered with battery backup, QD mount, shake awake feature, 10 brightness levels, and a separate Titanium "cover" that protects the lens in the event it is droppe
