Great quality except windage screws

Everything about the install was very easy, the included threadlocker was a nice touch. This thing is A+ quality and the fit and finish is superb. Once everything was installed though, I wanted to change the aperture and adjust windage so I unscrewed the screws in the rear peep to make such adjustment. I then spent 2 hours trying to get the screws back in. I tried everything but they would not fit. I emailed XS though and they send me a new rear assembly ($70 value!) for free with no questions asked. Great work by them. I still had a hunting trip coming up and the new sight would not arrive in time so i went to Ace hardware and picked up replacement screws. For those curious, I bought socket screws with thread pitch of 4mm, home depot did not carry them. They screwed right in and made for a successful hunt.
For a Gen1... this is the best of the best

Best gen 1 monocle out there and the skull crusher is actually very comfortable... If you know the basic of how to use night-vision you will be pleasantly surprised. I have only used this out to 50 yards and it is great. much clearer than other gen1 i have used. About the same as gen2, but gen 3 the difference is very noticeable. The included illuminator is just OK. I found myself using a mounted IR light on my Tavor... I also use this with an IR laser and it serves its purpose well. i was ringing steel from 50 yards no problem with this and the laser in complete pitch black darkness... but doubtful I would have been able to see that far without the separate streamlight illuminator. For the price its a no brainier, spend an extra $50 on a good illuminantor.

Great brake

Love this thing. Looks great and functions well on my vector . I paired it with the control shield by Fortis and makes for a great looking combo. Included crush washer was a huge plus as it allowed me to time the break right from my couch.
