good bang for buck for an H3 carbine buffer

Works great in my rifle buffer tube, I'm using a 1" dia x 2.75" long rod as a spacer, then a carbine buff spring, and this buffer. Smooth quiet action, solid return of BCG into battery, smooth feeding of rounds.

ODIN Works Extended Magazine Release Gen II
My lower has triger retainer pins and "bars" ( 5mm wide deals), this mag release was hitting it and not releasing the mag. I notched out the pin retainer bar for clearance - then it works great. I recommend changing from bars to the retainer " dumb bell" shaped retainers and pins for a drop in trigger, i think this would give one the needed clearance needed.

It has 2 set screws in bottom, ( some other have 3 or one…) I’ve built 3 ars using this GP, no issues.

Fits up great, springs and buffers run smoothly in it. If you like your threaded end to cover the buffer retainer plunger, it does hold it in place, yet if you have a sloppy fitting buffer retainer plunger, the plunger might ( might!) be able to work past this buffer tube end just saying.

I bye this for my builds, 80% of the time the retainer pins that come with the cross pins are “to aggressive “, the pins are locked in to stif for my likes. I replace the stock ones with the ones in this kit for a great operation of the pins. I will often use these springs over the stock ones as well.

Just remember this doesn’t come with plunger n spring…
Been using one on my 7.5in 223 Wylde barrel since 2017, no issues.

Update - Jan 2022, still going good in my AR. Stopped the 7.5 inch barrels "over gassing" it had at the time, and cycle timing is now fine with its install. Its been a fine product for me, I have seen others say otherwise - can't speak for them, I know its worked great on this shorty.

I have this forearm in a 9" model. Fitting a low profile gas block, and aligning the gas tube with the receiver was a "pain" yet once installed, I have had zero issues. Pricey? Yes, yet I truly doubt ill ever replace it.
