K1 is tapered castle nut version and K2 is lever lock version. Both are fantastic and negate the necessity for staking castle nuts and allow for easier removal when necessary. Make sure you torque correctly and they will serve you indefinitely. Additionally they are ultra lightweight. Functionality between K1 & K2 are horse a piece although I prefer the K1 because I feel there is less likelihood of the lever failing, yet this is not supported by anything other than my personal option. Fortiss customer service is excellent and products are all top notch. Bonus, Optics Planet is an excellent company on all levels!

Small unexpected parts like make a big difference in reliability!

This is one of a very few select products made with stainless rather than unknown metal or milspec. These parts make a big difference in the ultimate reliability and function of your platform. There are a couple others of similar quality and composition, yet I've found this to be the ones I use in my loved ones builds and recommend to everyone. Actually I'd say even upgrade and get their whole LPK and since the bolt catch is THE most common part to fail you will be upgrading that as well as a few of their excellent product's such as the selector too. This is one of my standard go to items for good reasons.
