Works as Advertised.....but is Fragile
I like the design and it works fine and looks good. HOWEVER, the castle nut is light and fragile. I felt like I was doing surgery when installing it. If you overtighten or make a wrong move it will bend. I read in the description that they also make ...

Fantastic products
K1 is tapered castle nut version and K2 is lever lock version. Both are fantastic and negate the necessity for staking castle nuts and allow for easier removal when necessary. Make sure you torque correctly and they will serve you indefinitely. Addi...

brilliant execution
Blown away by this thing. Very easy to install. Just used it for a build with a Gearhead Works Mod 2 brace/buffer tube. It Locks up well via ratcheting device that is in the end plate.
It also looks pretty cool. Highly recommended.

Fortis Castle nut
Nice looking, good finish and easy to install. Just click it tight and you are ready to go. Also easy to take off. Just depress the locking pin and screw off the nut. It really adds a good look your firearm from the plain mil spec.

Product Info for Fortis Manufacturing AR-15 LE Omega Clip Castle Nut/End Plate K2 System
When designing our new Lightweight Enhanced (LE) Castle Nut & End Plate System, we came up with two systems that virtually eliminates the risk of your castle nut ever backing out. With our two lockdown systems (K1 & K2), we've engineered a solution to install the castle nut onto the end plate that is not only robust, but also stands true to our brand of innovation and ingenuity. The K2 system utilizes a c-clip design that seats itself through a designed slot on the bottom of the end plate and into corresponding cutouts on the castle nut. This ultra precision fit allows the castle nut to seat itself into place without the need of staking the end plate. No ratcheting, no set screws, no backing out and no failures. All of these features at only .55 oz / 15.6 grams!
