I bought these in 2019 and it is not 2025. I have replaced them twice under warranty. The first set was DOA when I opened them up. The second set stopped amplifying sound after about 6 months. Now on my third set and one of the buds no longer amplifies.
WHEN they work, they are great and I love them. I use them to hunt, shoot, mow the lawn, operate power tools, etc. They just do not last. I have not had issues with keeping a charge like others have, my issue is they no longer pick up sound and play it.
Customer service has been great while in warranty. This will be the first time I see what they will do for me out of warranty. Very disappointed. I spent almost 1,000 getting custom silicone buds made for my ear canal to use these, as I love them when they work.

I purchased this as a final sale factory demo. It came with a scratched objective and the battery case cap is VERY difficult to thread on, as if it was stripped previously.

I have only tried Magpul AICS magazines so far. It appears as Magpul has redesigned AICS long action mags in the last year or so. The feed lips are different and the mag itself is a bit taller. I installed an actual Remington 700 action and the bolt kept hitting the magazine lips. There is an adjustment on the mag well to move a tang up and down, but this would not fix the issue. There was way too much slop in the mag well. I could wiggle the magazine up and down, back and forth easily. Regardless of adjusting the tang, it was very easy to get the bolt to hang up on the magazine lips. I went to a gun shop that had some old stock of a magazine manufactured in 2018 and it looks substantially different. I did not have this issue with that mag. I will try other mags but for now I am a bit dissapointed.

My Ultradine b5 chassis works with older Magpul pmag aics long action mags. For some reason Magpul redesigned the height and size of the feed lips. They no longer look as pictured. I was able to sand/shave them to work, but I do not like having to modify something permanently to work.

I wanted an illuminated center. While this does have one, in daylight it is useless. I am used to other optics, especially prisms, that have great illumination in daylight, and I am talking about sunrise daylight around 8am when deer hunting in Wisconsin winter. I have tried different batteries as well. At very low light conditions, like 6:30am when you can finally shoot, it is OK, but only at full brightness. The lower adjustments are really only good when it is almost too dark to hunt. I also have a sig whiskey that the center dot is clearly visibly illuminated in full daylight.
Other than that, it works.

I previously reviewed that they broke in 24 hours. I sent them back to the manufacturer rather than return. I wanted to like them as they are great on paper. Two weeks later I got them and used them. They work great. I will say in windy conditions they aren't useless, but not much better than normal plugs. Excellent for range shooting and don't get in the way of a cheek weld. I got them primarily for hunting and for directional sound. They are better than a standard set of Walker's, but not better than unassisted ears. The audio enhancement works great. Squirrels rustling in leave were heard from distances. Overall I like them. I use them to mow the lawn and chainsaw. They don't compress glasses frames like muffs.

When I got them I used them right away. I was truly impressed by how well they worked. I charged them over night. The next morning I powered them on and one would not activate. Put them back in the dock and only one gets recognized, and it's 90 percent battery. Tried MANY times to turn them on. Tapping the dead one on the counter a few times got it to be recognized on the dock, but it would just show dashes and not any charge level. Still won't turn on. Was not able to get it recognized again. Called the manufacturer and they were very helpful saying I can send them back right away. About a 30 day lead time for a replacement. Tempted to just return them to Optics and get a new one, or hunt for a different make. Too bad, they really seemed like a nice product and it's hard to find GOOD buds for hunting that have good directional sound. Another thing is that the foam tips work well but the little rubber tube broke loose when I was rolling them for insertion. Honestly the earbud seems very fragile when rolling the foam. Seems not difficult to snap off the stem.

Like others have stated, the bipod swivel will NOT tighten. Mine won't even stay upright for a minute. My AR10 just falls over no matter what. I am going to attempt to take it apart, but this thing is junk.
