TruGlo TruShot 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope
Bought it to see if a "budget" scope could be any good. So far it is holding zero on an AR-15.
At this price it would probably be a good choice for a beginner or for a 22LR plinking rifle.

Review for
VictOptics 1x35mm Red Dot Sight
Thought I'd give the budget brand a try. Big mistake.
First, the cross screws do not lie in a Picatinny slot so there's no way to make sure it doesn't move. Mind did not move on an AR.
Next, the first shots were two feet high and 9 inches left. OK, I can deal with that.
Then, adjusted it 14 clicks down and 7 clicks right (no discernable clicks felt)just to see how much change there was.
It printed a foot low and left did not change.
Then, adjusted it back up 7 clicks and 7 more clicks right. The group went up two inches and remained left as before.
Kept trying and experimenting and finally got the elevation fixed and grouping about an inch left (three of five shots).
Tried a clean target to shoot for reference. It shot 4 inches left and eight inches low.
I went home. If they had a zero star I'd give it that.

Thompson Center T/CR22 10-Round Magazine
I'm ordering a couple more of these for my Thompson Center T/CR22 rifle.
The magazine that came with the rifle was extremely difficult to use. The hold/open+first round lever was almost impossible to push down.
I gave up and used some 10/22 magazines which were much easier to load. Fuguring the problem was spring pressure I adjusted the Thompson magazine from the recommended three turns on the spring down to two. It worked better but was still a little difficult so I went down another half turn, trying to match the feel of loading with the 10/22s. Well now it works great. The loading lever is pretty easy to depress, the magazine is much easier to load and feeds perfectly. The last round hold open feature is a welcome addition. Point is... don't be afraid to loosen the spring a bit. You'll know if you've gone too far because it will stop feeding as well.
