Works fine. Does what you need it to do. It’s made for holosun 407k or any k series footprint. However you need to buy the proper screws to mount a holosun. #6-32 x 1/2". It will also direct mount with any rmsc pattern optics like the vortex defender CCW. The vortex will come with propper screws in the #6-32 x 10mm size which will work just fine.

OEM part. Flawless reliability. I wouldn’t waste money on aftermarket mags.

This is such a nice little scope for the price. As long as you keep your expectations reasonable for a $130 scope. Glass is crisp and clear for $130 glass. The magnification wheel is stiff enough to not move, but smooth enough to actually use. 2x to maybe around 5x is easy to handle but once you get into 7x that eyebox is pretty brutal. The eye relief is really generous though, which I love. Eyebox at 2x is totally fine. I’d recommend this scope for rimfire plinking and hunting. It’s like the perfect little scope for a 10/22. I would not recommend this scope for anything past 75-100 yards. The clarity really isn’t quite there, but this is what you get for the price, and what they offer is totally reasonable.

The good: build quality is solid. Decent mount with 2 mount height options. Takes common 2032 batteries. The bad: very noticeable refresh rate, that can be distracting. In order to be daylight bright, you need to crank this thing up to max brightness, draining your battery. No shake awake, only 3000 hr battery hour advertised life, as opposed to the Romeo 5s, I believe, 10k hr advertised life. Also there’s a huge emitter blocking a bunch of your sight picture. I can’t recommend this sight at all when comparing it to the ultimate budget optic, the sig Romeo 5, which is only like 10-20 bucks more and has a better emitter, no refresh rate you can notice, better battery life, no giant emitter blocking your view and so on.

Under recoil/or when sending the bolt home, the light goes into low power mode and must be restarted. The duel fuel models have this issue , and it’s very common. Not sure why surefire hasn’t pulled them from the market due to such a high failure rate. Be warned. Mine had this same issue

They must have updated it, because older reviews said it isn’t nv compatible, but my illumination dial clearly has marked nv1 and nv2 on it. There were also some complaints in older reviews about it being just bright enough for daylight, but this this is absolutely daylight bright. Comfortably so. The reticle is a bit tiny when dealing in short range, but the eye box is so good, you don’t even really need to think about it. Eye relief is totally acceptable too. Super clear glass, and monstrous field of view. Literally can’t go wrong.

If you want a milspec charging handle, this is a very good choice. It’s latch feels just slightly more extended than ones if used before. I could be wrong. The quality is impressive, though, compared to other milspec charging handles of different brands. The logo is only visible when you actually charge the rifle. I’d buy another.

After comparing it to my DD bcg, here’s what I think: staking on DD is very aggressive and really nice, but the aero is slightly less aggressive. However, it’s absolutely adequate and quite nice staking as well, fully contacting the fasteners. Both fasteners on the DD and Aero are NOT YFS fasteners. The phosphate coating on the DD is maybe a little better, but honestly, the two are pretty comparable. Both bolts are marked c158 mpi. The DD firing pin has a bit of a polished look to it, compared to a matte finish in the aero firing pin. The DD had zero tooling marks on the carrier, and the aero only had very slight tooling marks near the gas key, and nowhere else. The chrome lining on the DD is a little thicker looking, but the aero is perfectly fine. After comparing the two, really, you are getting a little bit better quality for a much higher price. It may or may not even be worth having something just slightly better for such a high markup, when the aero is already a great quality BCG as it is. The only thing that could definitively set the two apart would be high round count torture tests. If you you don’t plan on going to almost unreasonable extremes, and putting the two to the test, I’d say the aero is gonna be absolutely fine for most peoples’ needs. Overall, the aero phosphate bcg probably the best you’re gonna get for the money. Buy with confidence.

It isn’t out of spec, you don’t need to file it down. There’s just a little trick to installing it that others may not have caught on to. If you think it’s too big to fit through the other (non button) side, it isn’t! You simply need to install the spring and plungers into the unit, then you guide it in through the side you are gonna press, rear side first. After that you pull the unit toward you, which will compress the spring. While compressing the spring, push down, and it pops in. If it gets stuck, after you hear and feel a click, push down with more pressure with a wooden rod or piece of plastic. Ittl fit. It works really nice too!

Great stock, doesn’t have the oversized sop mod cheek weld area, but is a little more pronounced than the standard MOE stock, which is nice. It’s a little heavier than the moe stock as well. Super robust and feels like it can take a beating for sure. The only issue is that this stock is TIGHT. It actually was leaving a small scratch on my mil spec tube when operating it. It wipes off , so it could just be plastic coming off. When fully extending it, you gotta slap it in place. No wobble though, that’s for sure. Also, I was hoping for magpul to give me a sticker in the box. No sticker. Ya did me dirty, magpul.
