Shockingly well made! I wasn't expecting much at the price point and just wanted something I could remove quickly and would have a decent return to zero. These have a super clean finish a punch way above their weight class. They lock up rock solid and return to zero without issue. UTG is a great bang for the buck and hasn't let me down, ever. Highly recommended!

To the reviewer, gaowensjr Ballistic Advantage test fires every barrel, so you would obviously see the copper with your little scope. Hope this helps next time you decide to leave a useless, uninformed and irrelevant review.
This is an amazing barrel at a great price that will typically be more accurate than the shooter.

The latest correspondence with Silencerco… (Realize, this all started on Nov 23rd. I’m writing you this on January 26th….still waiting)
Me: Dec 1st
Any update?
Silencerco: Dec 5th
Hello,
We just found out today your package was in an accident and is not recoverable. We will still be replacing your charging handle for you as soon as we have the materials to build one.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Me: Dec11th
Materials to make another one??? Don’t you have replacement parts in stock? This handle is for my suppressed home defense AR9. I’ve be waiting close to a month to get a replacement. I have a non functional weapon without a charging handle. I don’t think I should be put in a position to buy something else. Please update me as to the status of my replacement.
Silencerco: Dec 12th (Ha! By the way, this excuse they gave me is hilarious and maddening)…
Hello,
Sadly, we cannot repair something we do not have. Fedex ran over your replacement with a truck and completely destroyed it. We will get you a replacement as soon as we have the material to build you one.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Me: Dec 29th
Just wanted to see if you had an updated ETA on my charging handle.
Silencerco: Jan 1st
Hello,
All charging handles are scheduled to be replaced by the end of February. We ran into a material shortage, so charging handle replacements were delayed. We will replace your charging handles as soon as we can make more.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

After installing this gas tube my bolt would not go into battery and got extremely stuck partially closed and would not release. After finally getting it removed and disassembling the rifle, I found out that the end of gas tube that inserts into the gas key was oversized and out of spec. I tried a number of different bolts, and none would work. I took some sanding paper to it and polished the end up on the buffing wheel and it finally went in with the correct resistance. Never had this happen on any other build so I guess I must have gotten a lemon. problem solved and lesson learned.

Catastrophic Failure!!!!
Product Review Update
I’ve been waiting almost a month for my replacement charging handle and this is the message I got from SilencerCo when requesting an update…
“Hello,

Hahhahaha! Materials to build one?!?! This is absolutely unacceptable and harkens back to the, “my dog ate my homework” excuse as to why you can’t meet the required expectation.
They dropped the ball hard on this one and they know it and they obviously aren’t ready for the recall. You’ve been warned. …twice.

DO NOT BUY!!! (Until Gen 2 comes out, because it has to, this first attempt is a Lemmon)
I can’t believe Silencerco would send out a product that they obviously didn’t test thoroughly enough. Because if they had, they would have found out that the pins holding the levers in will work their way out and your levers will go flying across the range. Not only did this happen to me, but just yesterday my friend had it happen to his. This is a ridiculous and unacceptable catastrophic failure in a part that will leave you unable to charge your weapon. Silencerco is proceeding with my RMA but it’s annoying that I’m now wasting my time and gas money to go find a FedEx to drop this worthless part off to and begin the waiting game to see if I’ll actually get a working unit back. Truthfully, even when I do, I’ll have limited confidence that it won’t happen again. Optics Planet should stop selling them immediately.

First off, I am a huge fan of Ergo grips, so when I saw they had a Zero angle I jumped on one for my AR pistol build. Thats where the excitement ended. The grip IS vertical and has that great Ergo grip feel, but the angle and lack of typical curve creates an almost 90-degree angle where your middle finger will be jammed up and wedged into the trigger guard. I have it installed on an aero M4E1 lower to give you an idea of the trigger guard shape. This might not be an issue on some lowers, but I'd bet it is on most. This issue makes gripping the weapon an awkward and somewhat painful chore and definitely doesn't feel ERGOnomic.

Installed in a custom builder set Aero M4E1 lower and it wouldn't catch, even with manual manipulation. It may work on the standard version or other lowers, but it was a no go on this one. Just didn't have enough play to rock down to catch the bolt. It's like it had too much material in the way and needed to be grinded or sanded down. It could be from the FDE paint.
