Needed an optic to replace a Holosun 507C that had to go back for warranty work. A number of my fellow IDPA shooters are very happy with the SRO and it fits same mount so looked around for availability and price. Optics Planet had very competitive price plus I caught a 9% discount offer which made it a no brainer. Order arrived in time for me to mount it, do a quick range trip to zero it and off to my weekly match. A little nervous to be shooting a match with a completely different optic but all went well. The 5 MOA dot is perfect and combined with the large, extremely clear window added up to great score on the night. I see now why these are so popular with competitive shooters. Started having some age related vision issues with iron sights at IDPA matches and decided to give Red Dots a try. To test out the concept without having a slide cut our buying an optics ready pistol, I found an optics mount adapter plate for my Taurus TX22 (virtually the same dimensions as my CZ P10C) so I could run basic drills using existing equipment.

After researching the various red dots available at all price points I decided on the Vortex Venom as it seemed to check all the boxes for quality plus my needs and budget. The only negative I could find was the battery cover being difficult to install which I had no issues with at all. Optics Planet had a very competitive price and with my OP bucks and free 2 day shipping, it was the best deal out there.

Once I got it sighted in, my groups at all distances were excellent. It’s going to take some practice to learn how to quickly pick up the dot but don’t think it’s going to take much effort at all. Dot is clear in various light situations using auto mode.

One unexpected benefit: I was able to pick up target and get accurate hits with both eyes open, something I was never able to do with iron sights.

Wanted to upgrade mil-spec stock and this B5 stock had excellent reviews with only negative being overly tight fit. No issues with mine; went on perfectly. Fit is tight with no wiggle or rattle but no installation issues. Much improved cheek weld. Highly recommend this.

Needed concealment vest for IDPA and this fits the bill. Material is good weight and fully vented back will be good for summertime shoots. They did go a bit overboard on extra pockets but minor issue.

With my older eyes and glasses, the stock 10/22 sights were nearly useless so had to add some optics. I didn’t want to spend over half of what I had in the rifle on a scope but I did want a proven product with good range and performance for my basic shooting needs at a reasonable price . This scope fits the bill on all counts! The enclosed rings are adequate, scope zeroed easily, reticle is fine and I’m happy with the clarity. For a general duty scope on your rimfire it’s a great scope

Let’s face it; the factory wood stock on a 10/22 is not its greatest attribute. The rubberized material of the Hogue Overmolded stock is a huge improvement in grip texture and overall feel of the rifle. If you’re sensitive to smells, you may want to leave it out in the garage for a week or so as it does have a bit of a new tire scent to it. This is s definite must have 10/22 upgrade!
