Still the favorite

Just buy it you won’t regret it. Very smooth and sturdy. The mod 4 latch is perfect for me. No snagging but big enough for my finger to catch with no issue. This works great with 90 degree offset iron sights in the furthest back position.

Great product.

Rightside of optic blurred

Written on Dec 23, 2022

I recieved the Reticle: Horseshoe/Dot .223 / 5.56x45mm Illumination Color: Red
Code: TJ-RS-TA02RS-100394
MPN: 100394
UPC: 719307308220
When i got the optic the right side of the reticle was blurred, you cant see anything out of that side. I reached out to trijicon and they said the following: “ It is normal for the reticle in the right side of the optic to be slightly out of focus. The reticle pattern in the ACOG is formed by removing highly reflective metal from a prism mirror. This mirror is at about a 45-degree angle inside the gun sight. This means that the left side of the reticle is closer to the eye than the center of the reticle and the right side of the reticle is further from the eye. The result- the right side of the reticle is focused beyond infinity which can cause distortion on the right side of the reticle. The perceived distortion will be more or less depending on an individual's eyesight. The left side of the reticle is unaffected because the human eye has no difficulty focusing on a closer object. This in no way detracts from the performance of the scope. The image of the target area is not affected. Only the right hand side horizontal reticle line is blurry. This construction is required to achieve a parallax free vertical center of the scope, which allows the built in ranging on the reticle pattern.”

I know nothing about making optics, however i do not understand why one would place a reticle in a spot where it seems to be unusable(right side). The l

Handgaurd slips off barrelnut

Written on Sep 22, 2021

I wanted to like this upper receiver… however when i opened the box the picture was different then what arrived. This system does not come with qd sling mount attachments built into the hand guard nor does it come with a thread protector for the muzzle device. Even worse, the hand guard will loosen away from the barrel nut after about 50 rounds. (Thats with loctite and proper torque specs). Every time i shot this upper the (3 occasions) the hand guard has creeped away and i had to stop my shooting sessions.

Don't let the movement scare you

Written on Dec 28, 2018

This optic is great and remains true but beware this optic does move via the mount and scope. Per the manual " The mount is designed to with stand rough usage in operation. Anti backlash springs in the elevation and azimuth mechanisms permit flexibility, but always return to the sight to the zero position. A tension spring between the optical main body and the mount rail grabber removes vertical movement by applying tension to the two halves of the mount."
If you grab the your gun by the optic you will notice play/wiggle between the mount and optic but it returns to zero immediately. I do not know why it is deigned in this manner but it works and will get you very tight groups at medium to long distances any day. This optic is built like a tank, and cost just as much. Its worth the money. It has great glass and precise adjustments. Have fun and be safe on the range.

4 stars because the movement of the scope startled me at first for such an expensive optic.
