In My Own Words:
Just getting into the world of shooting, never knew it would be this addictive
I almost didn’t order this magnifier, but really glad I did. It took away the effects of my astigmatism on the red dot. My red dot looks like a small clump of grapes, but with this magnifier the dot looks perfect after adjusting the diopter. Seems really well built, I have several other holosun products and no complaints.
Color matched my other fde brand lower well. Had to modify the holes of my lower to fit, but that’s expected. Wasn’t very hard to do with a dremel tool. You’d never know I had to expand the holes in one direction because the flared screws cover it up, it was that minor of a correction.
These are great if you plan to keep your mags loaded, they slightly push down on the last round to keep the lips from deforming. I have another plastic mag that was kept loaded and it’s harder to insert into the mag well because the top portion has expanded.
I talked to a rep from holosun and this optic is definitely supposed to be an absolute co-witness optic. They said the dimensions on the Holosun website are wrong and need to be changed. Also if this is your first red dot, I’d recommend buying a really cheap one first, because of this optic I’ve found out I have an astigmatism. Looks like 5 or 6 tiny dots grouped tight together to me and my vision is perfect, never had to wear glasses ever. I had a cheap one and just thought it was poorly made, but I found out it’s definitely not the optic after doing a little research
The one I got from optics planet is absolute co-witness, and I measured it at 1.4in same as my Troy buis. Holosuns website says it’s absolute but give it 1.63 in which 1/3 dimensions. Wish I could post the picture of the contradiction
