does the job!

Sticks out about .5" from the side, just dont hit it.

Good for when you're shooting .223/ .22 at longer ranges or at heavy targets, where you may not be able to easily see or hear and impact.

It can detect a .22lr hit out of a 4" pistol barrel at 100 hards hitting my 22 pound 66% ispc target, at that distance I don't see any impact, chain swinging, or any ding but the light will let me know I hit it.

The velcro in velcro adhesive is very good and strong, almost too strong, the first time I put this light on the back of my target I couldn't get the two velcro pieces separated I had to use a screwdriver and pry them apart as to not rip the adhesive off.

I think it's a little expensive for what it is but there's not a whole lot of other options out there so between the overly strong veclro, and it being a solid $5 or sp more than it has any reason to be, ill give it 4 starss.

So far I've shot a Target a few times with this, few 6.5cm, dozens of .223 and dozens of .22lr and it is working.
Pros:
  • can detect light impacts from small calibers at distance
Cons:
  • None

Totally functional, compromise between the Hornady and the T1000, but it's not perfect.

Gets the job done but it's not perfect.

I like the green flashing over red and it has a decent FOV so you don't have to worry about aiming it towards the shooter/scorer. The electronics are super simple with a single IC to control the LED timing and to monitor the tremble/vibration switch. There isn't an accelerometer or fancy firmware, just a little spring switch that completes a signal circuit when there is a little vibration. I'm shocked they managed to get a patent for this

Honestly, it's $8-$12 in parts, plus the plastic housing and accessories. I suspect they're making quite a good margin on these. Which makes it a little hard to accept that they didn't put a 10c gasket in it to make it water resistant.

The Hornady is obviously a repurposed bike taillight, so I bet it has some water sealing, and it's priced closer to the real BOM when you buy the bulk pack. Smart of them to save on design costs when a waterproof and rugged case and LED light are available from an OEM ready to go.

Overall, I'm happy with the unit and will probably pick this one again over the Hornady unless I was going through one or two a month from stray shots.
