At the range or at my work bench it does what it is supposed to do and is easy to transport. I highly recommend this stand.

Had to assemble it but that is ok by me. I blue lok-tite everything, so it was better that i had to assemble it. The only issue i had was with one of the front rest clamps threads. They were stripped before i even put a screw in it. Not that big of a deal because the other screw holding it down keeps it secure enough, for now. Other than that little issue, everything went together perfect and really tight. I loaded my 6.5 creedmoor (AR-15 platform) into it to see how steady it would hold it. Perfect. For what i will be using it for, it will do just fine. Thanks Caldwell for a great product and Thanks Optics planet for a great deal and fast shipping. Would recommend for people like me that want to goto the range and see how accurate their gun is.

I would have liked a solid stop to keep the rifle from moving backwards.

Great rest lots of adjustment took a little getting used to but that's a personal thing

This is great for sighting in my rifles and testing handloads.

This is a basic shooting rest that will assist you with simple sight ins, but don’t expect it to have every feature that you’ll wish it had.

This will require assembly, took me about 30 minutes to get it together correctly. It’s very light weight and easy to get back and forth from the range which is a big plus. Weighted sleds can get cumbersome to move around and may prevent you from actually using them. Once properly assembled this sled is solid.

The downsides are, it’s really set up for a hunting style rifle without accessories mounted on side rails. If you have any guns with lights or lasers you’ll have to remove them to properly seat your handguard. The basic molded front and rear rests are fine for most guns, but might not work well on all rifles or configurations like bullpups. There is also no adjustment for shorter rifles or pistol configurations so it will be used just as a single point rest for those set ups.

If you have a large and diverse collection of guns you like to shoot regularly and sight in, this is not the best “do it all” set up. But Caldwell makes good quality products even at entry level. This one simply lacks customization or features, but is decent as pictured.

This Shooting Rest worked great. Love the rough front adjustment and the fine back adjustment. I sit my rifles with the butt grip in front of the rear pad and it helps take up allot of the recoil as I'm setting in scopes. There are more expensive ones out there but this one can be weighted down if needed and does the job without taking up allot of room. It is just a little tricky to put together (the instructions are a little hard to see positioning) but if you look closely and take your time it goes together fine. Until now I've always used a shooting bag and a rear sand bag ... but this holds stable enough to easily make adjustments. And with the price of bullets it does not take long for it to pay for itself.

This was much better than I expected for the money! Very solid,stable - love the adjustable front! It’s so quick,smooth and positive. Worked great with 2 rifles, but didn’t work for my Bergara MG LITE chassis type rifle - even with the fore /aft sliding front rest, the buttstock wouldn’t sit and the rear pad did not allow access to the AR-type pistol grip- standard type stocks worked great

Great quality for the price. Works specifically well with ar15. I had some trouble with other models but this works well if you don’t have any bulky attachments on bottom of rail you will have enough fov to line up with target
