This is my absolute favorite lube for cleaning and lubricating firearms. It's an extremely effective cleaning lube as well, often getting most grime and powder fowling in one wipe. The consistence of the lube is what I like the most, it's fairly thick and stays on but when you wipe clean there will be thin layer to protect the finish and metal. You can sort of control how thick you want it on certain parts, thin coat or more heavy such as on a bolt carrier or internal high friction part. Perhaps one downside is the applicator is not needle fine. I typically add to a patch or rag first and wipe the firearm down. If the gun is dirty, the rag or patch will be black, cleaning all the residue and dirt. I tend to trust this over some solvents on certain guns. It's a bit more expensive, but I know first hand a lot of professional LE and Mil guys are using this.

This is a basic shooting rest that will assist you with simple sight ins, but don’t expect it to have every feature that you’ll wish it had.
This will require assembly, took me about 30 minutes to get it together correctly. It’s very light weight and easy to get back and forth from the range which is a big plus. Weighted sleds can get cumbersome to move around and may prevent you from actually using them. Once properly assembled this sled is solid.
The downsides are, it’s really set up for a hunting style rifle without accessories mounted on side rails. If you have any guns with lights or lasers you’ll have to remove them to properly seat your handguard. The basic molded front and rear rests are fine for most guns, but might not work well on all rifles or configurations like bullpups. There is also no adjustment for shorter rifles or pistol configurations so it will be used just as a single point rest for those set ups.
If you have a large and diverse collection of guns you like to shoot regularly and sight in, this is not the best “do it all” set up. But Caldwell makes good quality products even at entry level. This one simply lacks customization or features, but is decent as pictured.

I’m a big fan of the Masterfire holster system and this is one of the only ways to use IR light with your pistol/holster combo in combination with night-vision. It’s expensive, but the unit can double as a rifle mounted or PDW light as well in a pinch. If you are familiar with Surefire products, the quality you’d expect is all there. It’s a big beam of light that is best suited for a pistol in a CQB environment. The IR illumination under VN is equally impressive. It does give off a faint red glow (or signature) down range when the IR light is active. The housing is up to the same standard as other Surefire lights and products. Like other Surefire pistol lights this is technically usable and bright enough in some application for a rifle, but the Surefire scout lights in IR/white combos are a better pick for that set up specifically. This does work well for the pistol.

I purchased this after having met the owner of the company and several of his employees at a tactical course in Alliance, Ohio. The course focused on CQB environment and there were several runs in total dark conditions. This light was designed by individuals with law enforcement and military experience and was specifically crafted to be a superior weapon light to what is currently on the market. I have mostly used Surefire lights in the past and feel that Surefire is an excellent product, but this Cloud Defensive light improves on them significantly. It is a bit larger in profile than some of the slim, Surefire Scout lights, but the power output of the light is significantly higher. I don’t know all the technical specs and nomenclature of what was done to this light to make it so effective, but the result for me is seeing a much wider area with higher illumination especially in CQB. The output is extremely impressive, and despite a large profile in size, the weight is still about the same as the Surefire lights. The included button switch is very nice and the wire is robust and rigid. You won’t find the need to zip tie down. It includes a re-chargeable high power battery, and a tail cap switch. You can configure this any way that you want, and it’s clear the modularity of this light was considered in it’s design. Without a doubt this weapon light was designed from the ground up for the professional law enforcement, military or highly-trained civilian end user. I will soon be

Ammo is very subjective and how well it performs can vary depending on person and equipment. Norma has an excellent reputation as a high quality manufacturer. I have a Sauer 202 hunting rifle. I tried a couple different grains and ammo types, and I found this to group very well with my rifle, no doubt at least in part to the consistency of the ammo. That does come at a premium price. I bought it again, preferring this over what I could get off the shelf. The packaging is very elaborate with windowed box and premium plastic inserts that hold each round. Ammo is polished clean and is in exceptional condition out of the box. There might be other brands that work well, and developing a hand load with be optimal. But I don’t reload, and this type of ammunition is expensive to shoot. I think I’ll settle on this as my go-to because it’s working very well.

This light is very large, but the output is commensurate with the size. At first I was pleased when I opened the box, it included a remote switch, but those accessories are extremely cheap and essentially worthless, they are immediate throw in the trash components. Thankfully, the actual switch on the light itself has a nice positive activation and the large tabs are easy to reach and use. I would not consider this a professional duty weapon light due to the size and inferior quality to a brand like Surefire or Cloud Defensive. But I do think this is a nice, bright light for spotting varmints in darkness or low light, great for a set up you use to hunt coyotes or something in low or no light. That’s how mine is set up and I’m happy with that for about half the price of a professional duty light. But the trade offs are clear.

I selected this scope based on the price, name brand reputation and the multi-setting of the elevation knob, as this was going to be mounted a multicaliber rifle. My first Steiner optic. The quality of this optic seems top notch. The box itself comes with a factory sealed sticker to prove it was inspected and not opened since it left the factory. I have not seen that on other scopes before. This is absolutely ideal for a hunter, but I also don’t see why this wouldn’t be an ideal tactical scope as well. The eye relief is excellent and the quality of the glass comparable to much more expensive scopes that I own. The illumination has a lot of settings and stays focused on the center crosshair which I think is ideal for predator hunting in the field. On the low magnification setting it can almost be a red dot. The eye relief very easily could allow for that. The zoom knob is smooth and solid. Some scopes I think are too tight to prevent accidental movement, but I think they got it right here. I have not had the chance to test this a lot in the field, but I am extremely pleased out of the box. Take this as a first impressions review.

I previously had a BSA Sweet 17 but sold it to a friend. I had it mounted on a variety of rifles and always thought it performed well. I bought this scope to mount on a .308 (they don’t seem to have a .308 version —- odd) and like the previous scope it functions well considering the price paid. It’s very light, good field of view, nice that it comes with scope rings and dials for different bullet grains. The knobs are a bit high profile for the scope, I intended to mount a red dot behind the elevation knob, but it’s too tall. Holds zero very well out to 200 which is as far as I tested it. The glass is a big foggy at long range. At 18x I should see clearly at 200, but this is where the price point is obvious. I’m using this scope on a brush gun, something I’m not afraid to have scratched up and I think it does the job perfectly. If the glass was more clear I’d give it 5 stars.

I was quite surprised by the quality and design of this sight for the money. I normally buy Troy back up sights, which are the Mercedes Benz of back up sights in my view. I decided to give these a try and I can’t see why I wouldn’t buy these in the future. I’ll save a lot of money. The button pop up release is very nice, this is designed to be light weight but functional in adverse conditions in my evaluation. It’s a big bonus that we can have multiple colors from the factory.

This is probably the 4th set of Troy sights I have purchased, they are among the best iron back up sights you can buy. I’m a huge fan of Troy Industries. However, was very disappointed that these are much too large for standard M4 profile rifles. The biggest issue is that you have no room between the forward assist and anything besides probably a standard milspec charging handle (I have not tested but assuming they tested these in that configuration). My rifle is configured with a Geissele super charging handle, I have seen one other reviewer having issues with a Radian handle as well. While it technically “fits” there is no room to grab both sides of your charging handle making the upgrade irrelevant. These sights are big, a lot of metal even if you have a standard milspec handle, it would be a tight fit. My build used a Mark 12 Mod 0 handguard with integrated side rails at the front. The front sight on the Troy would not fit at 45 degrees with that section of side rail. So it was a bust for both.
The construction and quality of these sights are excellent, but buyer beware of how these will fit on your rifle after you pay $200 and cannot return.
