shell tube extension
After filing down the internal dimples, and filing down the end of the threads on the origional threads, this thing fits amazing. About an inch or 2 shorter than my 28"barrel on my 870. Never had a misfeed after 2000+rounds though
Good fit for 26" barrel
I purchased the 10 shot magazine extension, which is a good fit for an 870 with a 26" barrel. It pokes out about 1/2" past the barrel. It actually holds 10 shells in the tube (standard 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge), so it's a 10+1 extension on my gun (vs the advertised 9+1). I used the included spring and follower. The barrel clamp seems to fit well.
Pros:
- Holds 10 shells in the tube (more than advertised)
Cons:
- Extends 1/2 inch past a 26 inch barrel

870 10 shot Extended magazine tube
Fast shipping received package in great condition. Installation was quick and easy. Took it straight to the range and shot a tactical shotgun match.80 rounds, Remington ran perfect.

Very nice looking tube ,
Mine holds 11--all together 00 buck fetters in my 28" barell 1 in barell and 10 in the tube and tube is 3" shorter than the barell, and I was satisfied,,but I got a pumpkin puncher that fits on tube and it's even, looks very kool and wicked, along with the sharp and spiraled x full choke tube on a remington 12-gauge 870.it extends about an inch and half, changed the awesome magpul stock that I had put on it and replaced it with an AR style adapter and non adjustible Kynshot shotgun
Buffer kit and I'm very pleased, thank you.

Excellent Product
Exceptionally well built and strong, installation is extremely simple as screwing it on and off. One word of note, if you are installing this on a Remington 870 express, you will notice a couple of dimples in the end of the magazine tube. They are there to hold the new spring retainer in place. Therefore you will need to smoothen them out first before you install your new extension tube. One of the ways is to either Dremel or drill them out. I would not recommend doing that. Instead I bought a handy device from Brownells that smooths out those dimples by gently tapping what is basically a solid rod with the same dimensions down the magazine tube.
Pros:
- Aside from maybe having to deal with the dimples in the magazine tube prior to installation, the product itself is a conch to install
Cons:
- Due it's sturdy construction, some may find it slightly heavy.
Best Used for:
- If you want to load your shotgun and get to shoot it all week long without worrying about having to reload.

Not quite refined.
Where the threads meet the barrel, there is a lip there follower gets stuck on. I had to file all sorts of things. Of course I knew I had to file the dimples on the 870, but I also had to file the inside of the extension where the pipe meets the threads. Will probably have to file it some more to make it work. Also this only holds 9 rounds and it's advertised as 10. The siding was trimmed as well, but it's still not quite right. I will have to refund it until it's smooth, but before I did anything aside from bumps on 870, it only fed reliably 2 out of 8 times. Had to unscrew the extension to get it to release the what I believe is the follower getting stuck on the lip inside the tube. I would really like a refund as it cost $66 and it doesn't work as described. Even with a lot of work, I'm still considering another option.
Pros:
- Ups the capacity (sort of)
Cons:
- Lots of refinement required.
- Still may not feed reliably, even with lots of refinement.
Best Used for:
- Range due to reliability.

1187 Remington magazine extensions
Parts are all well made except for the shell follower ,it is molded plastic and was miss shaped had to trim the end that fits inside spring and decrease the diameter of the follower to get it to function. It definitely not a drop input as described. I will say after the modifications it works great.
Pros:
- works adequately
Cons:
- No

Remington 1100 from the '80s
Remington 1100 works fine no issues. have older 1100 from the '80s no drilling no dimples and magazine tube it's a cheaper option to have the ability to put extra weight on your shotgun for trap shooting or for tactical to hold more shells you can also block off tube and just put rolls of nickels for weight mimics a over under more this way. But at the end of the day who doesn't want to hold more rounds.

Works asadvertised
The magazine tube is as advertised and turned my 11 87 (1980s) into a 3 gun shotgun. Its no Benelli M2 but for $50 you can still pull off the extended tube and shoot sporting clays or put it on and blast away! Make sure you have a competent gunsmith remove the magazine dimples in the 1187 magazine tube.
Pros:
- Ext capacity
Cons:
- Gunsmith needed
Best Used for:
- 3 gun and home defense
