I received this product today (3/29/2019) and it is not as advertised. While it does have the M4 feed ramps, it has no trace of Colt markings (i.e. C proof mark, cage code, etc). Deceptive picture
The receiver I got only has a Forge mark + M4 Feed. No C mark or cage code. Don't buy it if you want a classic "Colt" upper.

Key forge blank upper
Received this upper today assuming it would have a cage code being that all 3 colt rifles I've purchased recently came with a cage code. I doubt this is a real colt part wasted money

pictures are deceiving
Pictures show a "C" marked upper but thats not what youre getting.

No Colt markings
Not a single marking on this upper other than the T marks and a keyhole forge marking. No M4 marking, no C stamp or cage code. Nothing. If you are wanting it for the Colt markings then you are out of luck. Other than that it is in spec and good condition.

Rail attach
Can i install a Daniel defense m4a1 fsp rail to this upper ramp assembly? Waiting to know before i decide to purchase this item. Or will it not fit. I’d would like to get some feed back on this. Plus you all are super good with shipping out products in time especially during this crazy time.

Colt Upper
I know Colt has been inconsistent lately with their markings but mine came stamped with their cage code. Its not the colt "c" stamp, but I actually like the look of the cage code better. The anodizing is good, but the black dye didn't quite get into the internals giving it an ashy look inside. The upper is also does not have dry film lube on the inside. Neither is a big deal to me.
Pros:
- Cage code marking, M4 marking on the front face of the rail above the barrel extention threads
Cons:
- Inside is lackluster. Perhaps evidence of Colt's recent struggle in the market?

Real deal colt upper
The upper I received is current production square forged colt upper. Complete with dry film, white T marks and M4 feedramps. It does have cage code, but no C stamp, which is not a deal breaker. If your looking for a “proper” marked colt upper, this is not it. If your looking a battle proven colt upper for your next user, this is your huckleberry

Not Stamped How I'd Like, But Its the Real Deal
Colt as of late has really cut back on stamping their parts with the famous "C". Since Colt announced they were abandoning the civil market, I bought two of these from Optics Planet. No C stamping, but there was a cage code on both receivers. Also, the tiny "M4" stamp was above the gas tube entranced. All-in-all an identifiable and genuine Colt upper receiver. Get them while you can.
