Most Helpful Positive Review Crimson Trace Crimson Trace LG-422 Laserguard
Great product! Crimson Trace lasers are the standard by which all others are measured. This laser is better than the Sig laser for the Sig P365. This laser fits the P365 perfectly and has the new feature of being able to replace the battery without removing the laser from the gun. Activation switch ...

Most Helpful Negative Review The laser site that mixed the mark
The laser is accurate and easy to attract and remove. Why is there no master switch when you don’t care for the laser? It would make it much more user friendly. It is on just because you are holding it. That is annoying. Can I get a refund?

wrong advice given me

by richard, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 22, 2025
I was told this is not compatible with a Hogue grip sleeve
THIS IS NOT TRUE
I have installed both the grip sleeve and this laSer and they fit well together.
I first INSTALLED the grip sleeve
Then I PLACED the laser into position to see where the button falls onto the grip sleeve. I then cut out a tiny amount of grip sleeve to accommodate the lase button and only then did I INSTALL the laser
AnD THEY BOTH ARE WORKING WELL TOGETHER

Laser sight for older eyes

by CC, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on May 3, 2025
I'm getting older. I can't see as well close up and need "reading glasses". With the reading glasses on I can't see things in the distance well. When shooting with iron sights, I need to be able to see both close and far well. That's where this laser comes in. Once it's zeroed in with the right windage and elevation adjustments, just put the red laser pointer on the exact spot on the target and squeeze the trigger! Voila! Bullseye! It's like the optics from the Miami Vice TV show in the 80's. I'm liking the 100+ point improvement in my shooting club scores.
Pros:
  • Long life laser battery
Cons:
  • zeroing the laser could be easier

Old eyes need help

by Mick, from PA, United States Written on June 29, 2024
You reach an age where you still want to be good with iron sights (iron sites don't need good batteries to work) but bifocals mean you see the sights or you see the target. Red dot is nice, but if the battery or glass fails, you still need tall sights so you can see through the optic. This laser does not require messing with your iron sights. The LG-422 Laserguard is easy to install, works properly if you have a firm grip of the gun, and easy to adjust to sight in correctly. Using your instinctive grip activates the laser. If the laser should fail, (and so far my other lasers have not) the iron sites are still there with unobstructed view. When properly sighted in, the laser on the target is where the projectile should hit. You will find you shoot quicker, can follow up with quicker shots, and yes, dry firing will show you how much you actually shake when pulling the trigger. This is the third pistol I have added a laser.
Pros:
  • Great in the dark where iron sights are difficult to see.
  • No glass like red dot and easier with bifocals than iron sights to see.
Cons:
  • requires battery replacement
Best Used for:
  • If you wear bifocals

Very nice laser

by Joboo, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on December 28, 2021
Great laser! Easy installation. My only issue is the left right adjustment seems to jump around and is very touchy. Other than that fits great and definitely a must for your gun. I recommend this product.
Pros:
  • Easy installation and adjustment
Cons:
  • Finicky left right adjustment

Wrekreation's Review of Crimson Trace LG-422 Laserguard - UPDATE

by Wrekreation, from VA, United States Written on March 28, 2021
I bought an LG-422 for a Sig P365. It was relatively easy to install (The instructions could be a bit clearer on the trigger guard part). It was fairly easy to zero. The activation button has been a little temperamental. With less than 2000 rounds the LG-422 quit working. I got a new battery, checked it on my meter and installed it but the laser doesn't work. I went to the CT support page and gave them a lot of information and about 12 hours later I got an email asking me to provide a lot of information which duplicated all the information I gave them on my support query. Several hours later I got another CT email asking for pictures of the LG-422 including a picture of the serial number and a picture of the laser not working. Honestly, I can't read the serial number with my eyes but I attempted a picture of the microscopic numbers/letters. To take a picture of the laser not working, I went into a pitch black room and depressed the activation button and took and picture of what didn't show on the target. I'm still waiting for an RMA from CT. Crimson Trace did not send an RMA. They sent me an email saying they were sending me a new LG-422, no return, no other information. I'm still waiting it's arrival, they said it may take a "couple weeks".
Pros:
  • works
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Self defense
Would recommend: Yes

Crimson Trace Warranty might be ok, but slow

Great laser

by Grumpy, from ND, United States Written on December 29, 2020
Bought this for my wife’s Sig P365 I thought I would have to do some adjustment. Tried it last night for the first time, i drew a 1/2” x 3/4” circle on a piece of paper hung it on a bush and from 30 foot at night with no light hit the edge of the circle right out of the box no adjustments. I would say it’s a very product easy to install very easy to activate and very accurate. I would highly recommend this product especially for people like my wife and myself that aren’t the greatest with fixed sites.

Pros:
  • quality and fit
Cons:
  • Lack of brightness adjustment
