Double star lower kit
All the metal components in the set are real nice I would rate them a five star rating. The pistol grip is not so nice you can see the seams were the two plastic pieces come together not very smooth with machine marks.
18 months later, a solid parts kit from Doublestar
I installed this lower parts kit in my AR in november of 2020, and I am happy to say that the parts are holding up nicely. The finish on everything is nitride, I think. This makes it super easy to clean and maintain. Every part is holding up well and I don't see any signs of wear after about 1000 rounds on the rifle. You get a solid lower parts kit for what you pay. Everything is bagged up in colored bags to make installing it in a stripped lower a walk in the park. They even included a few extra pins (roll pin, detent pin).
The pistol grip is superior in quality to others I've seen in two different cheap lower parts kits, so that's a plus if you like the A2 style grip. I should not comment on the trigger, as I had to slightly modify mine to fit in an 80% lower I (poorly) milled out. It's a solid wall until mush, and then it breaks somewhere in there. No grit, though. I'm not a trigger connoisseur, in fact I really don't care, but I am curious if my experience correlates with what other reviewers have written. It could have been my milling, but the safety required a couple dozen flicks to start loosening up.
Overall, I would give this lower parts kit from Doublestar five stars. It's a standard, well-functioning group of parts from a quality company, so I am quite satisfied with what I've gotten for the money.

The doublestar trigger assembly was low-cost upgrade that made a huge difference.
The Doublestar trigger assembly I dropped into my Sig Sauer m400 is much smoother than the stock assembly. I had no idea it was going to make such a difference in the shooting. I dealt eith a rough stock trigger for years, believing that because trigger assemblies can be so expensive, that I'd have to deal with it if I wasn't willing to spend a lot of money. The Doublestar was a low-cost experiment. I just wish I had tried it sooner. Thanks Doiblestar.
Pros:
- Smooth
